We needed to get the house painted quickly in preparation for sales, they made time in their schedule and got the job done quickly.

The work turned out beautifully. The owner had great ideas and figured things out in very creative ways. The workers are very sweet and kind. They are really good people. They were in and out of the house for months and I never had to worry about anything. He put in a stairway that looks beautiful. He had to be creative in getting the stairway in and it looks gorgeous.

Work was scheduled, started on schedule. Carpenter was very neat. Craftsmanship was first class. The project was a built-in bookcase, and all the joints were perfect. Finish work was excellent, including caulking and painting. Only caveat would be to carefully describe exactly what is to be built before starting so that changes aren't needed after project starts. Overall, very high quality work.

I had decided to hire MCK (Delson Filho) after watching his workman fixing and painting a house next door. He came by and provided a very exact estimate for the scraping, repairing, priming and painting of all the trim that he could see, warning that there could be other issues as he got a closer look at some areas. The first estimate was for $5,900. $400 was added on because we opted for better quality wood. Another $1,800 was added because we had to replace 52 linear feet of fascia boards over the gutters. Their rotting was impossible to see for the original estimate. $425 was added on to replace the inside frames and sides and of several windows and doors and one window sill. $525 was added on to replace three window sills on the second floor. Finally $550 was added on to replace the front bay window roof. So, while the total cost grew by increments, Delson kept us apprised of every problem he encountered and of the extra cost involved. He came by every day to inspect. The work was done very efficiently and well with a minimum of disturbance and the workmen always cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis. Delson also decided that some of the clapboards needed scraping and painting and went out of his way to make sure of a color match. As far as I can tell, he only charged for the stain ($70). He redid the paint mix because he was unhappy with the match saying,"I don't want people to look at the house and say it doesn't look right."
