Had to take them back because they were too long. They were slim/tapered so I don't think she was familiar shortening pants with a min. Break.

Astgik is amazing! She skillfully altered the gown I'd bought for our daughter's wedding. My floor-length, lined gown with accompanying floor-length, light coat, required the hands of an expert seamstress seeing as both garments were covered in small beads. Astgik completed all the work beautifully and in a timely manner. She is abundantly experienced, qualified, and talented. And ... I very much liked her. I highly recommend Astgik to anyone and everyone! She knows her stuff! I regret having waited so long to write this recommendation but Astgik is so deserving of praise that I felt compelled to write, even so long after the event. Astgik, I apologize for my delay. Astgik does excellent work for a reasonable price. She is knowledgeable and friendly and professional. I travel from Sudbury to have her alter my clothing. Excellent.

My Mom needed an outfit for my daughter's wedding.   She had a beautiful three piece gold suit in her closet that hadn't been worn. The jacket fit perfectly but the top and skirt were now too big.  Astgik took in the sides of the skirt, took in the front of the top, raised the shoulders, and added straps to hold the bra strap in place.  She did a great job.  The suit fit my Mom perfectly after the alterations. The day of the wedding my Mom looked stunning in her gold suit.
I also want to comment on the shop being closed. I contacted Astgik's the day before she was heading out on vacation.  She gave me the first appointment for the Saturday she returned.  That was perfect.  Went in on July 11th and my Mom's suit was ready on July 24th.
I know where to go in the future if I need alterations.

High quality alterations for reasonable cost.  To comment on one reviewers bad experience, Astgik is a solo operation. She doesn't always advertise when she is away... for security reasons (she can give you the details of her past experiences). I have learned to call before I go just to make sure she is there. If I don't think I can make it by the expected turnaround date, I will call to check her availability on surrounding dates. One time I forgot that I had items to pick up, and she called me to remind me of that before she headed off on vacation. Make sure you have written your phone number(s) legibly!  Likewise, if I am running late, she will stay open to accommodate when she is able to do so. Usually for basic alterations, the turnaround time is about a week, except during peak times, like prom or holiday season.

i have not been able to pick up my altered clothes.  She told me I could pick up my clothes on June 26th, but I could not get there until the 27th.  I went on June 27th at appx 12pm EDT and the store was closed.  I went back on the following Monday, June 29th, and the store was still closed with no sign in the window saying why the store was closed.  I have left voicemails every day June 29th - July 3rd asking for someone to contact me regarding my clothes, as I was leaving on a business trip on July 6th.  I have since gone on my business trip last week (without the clothes) and have left another voicemail today (July 10th) but no response.  I have another business trip the week of July 13th and have no confidence that I will be able to get my suits before July 13th.
I certainly hope that nothing bad happened to the woman, but at the same time I'm frustrated and concerned about getting my clothes back.

Very deftly camoflaged the old wear marks with a new seam.  Also filled in the lining so it looks as good as the original, when I bought it a year ago.
