RON BARRILA

It went very well! Ron, Matt, and Joe were punctual, professional, friendly, careful, and tidy. They completed the work in just over two days coming back on the third morning to wrap up a couple of quick things. We are very happy with the work performed and to have brand new windows that look nice and OPEN! Ron and crew were willing to answer questions and offer guidance not only about the windows, but shutters and power washing for the siding on the house. Matt was nice enough to offer to pick us up a mini shutter sample kit while at Harvey to aid us in our shutter selection.

In late '08, Ron Barilla gave us a decent estimate ($3400, second lowest), and seemed quite professional. He said he could not schedule the work in October or November, due to other work, but would try in December, weather permitting. He didn't get to it in December, and then the snows came. He said we would be first in line in the spring. I called in the spring, in March, and he said he'd get to us ASAP. I told him I was concerned about roof leaks, as the roof was very old and we had had some ceiling damage. He offered to come put a tarp over it, but I declined, as it wasn't leaking at the time. In May he still hadn't come to do the work. I called, and got his son on the phone, who said he would relay the message to his father, Ron. Ron never called back. Ever. So I gave up on Ron Barilla.

He is coming out next Saturday to come out to do the work on the roof. He is very personable and is easy to reach on his phone. I thought his pricing was very reasonable.

The first time he came, when he replaced the flashing, he did a great job. However, when we called him again for other roof work, he never responded to our phone calls. Which is why I would never try him again for anything.

The contractor was very responsive to my request for a quote. He came out to evaluate the site and provided my wife with an estimate right away. He also called back a few days later to follow up. They were scheduling very far out so we decided to go with another company (which also had a lower quote), but I give high marks for the experience.

Workmanship was excellent,I found Ron very easy to work with and I found the price was reasonable. Overall we were very happy and pleased with the results.

We have used this contractor for numerous jobs around our home. This job took about two days. He did a fairly good job of cleaning up after himself, although there was still a fair amount of dust after he left. I think this may be inevitable though. Unfortunately, I can't remember the price we paid.

I started out to replace my gutters because they weren't working properly. I had several estimates from other contractors. Ron pointed out that it wasn't the gutters themselves, but that they were installed incorrectly to begin with (I was not the owner when originally installed). The resulting water damage to the exterior of the house happened over a long period of time. No other contractor pointed out the defects or noted that replacing the gutters would not have solved the problem. I was very pleased that Ron Barrila was able to do all the roof, gutter, and carpentry work required restoring the damaged areas and preventing further water damage. He and his crew are professional, reliable, and very easy to do business with. I thought the price was very reasonable given the amount of work involved and the time in which they completed the job. High quality workmanship.

THE COST IS FOR THE ROOF AND HE WAS THE LOW BIDDER. THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK HAS BEEN EXCELLENT. DUE TO THE RAIN, MIDWAY THROUGH THE ROOFING JOB I GOT LEAKS AND HE DID FIX THEM. HE DROPPED OFF SAMPLES PRIOR TO THE WORK. HE ALSO DID DOWNSPOUTS AND SIDING. HE ALSO ADDED A RIDGE VENT AND DID NOT REALIZE THAT THE SHAVINGS WOULD FALL INTO THE ATTIC AND THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A MESS. I WISH HE WOULD HAVE COVERED THE CONTACTS OF THE ATTIC. THEY DID TRY TO CLEAN UP THE BEST THE COULD. HOWEVER THE PRICE AND THE QUALITY HAVE OVERALL BEEN EXCELLENT AND HE IS VERY FAIR. HE STANDS BEHIND THE WORK AND IF THERE IS A PROBLEM HE IS WILLING TO FIX.
