They provided great service. They were prompt, effective, easy to understand, and inexpensive. I dropped my computer at their place but they can also come home to repair. It was ready in a twenty four hour period. The price was very fair. I thought that I got what I paid for. I am glad that they are in our area, because it is hard to find good IT tech support. They don?t just wipe off the hard drive and take everything off and that is usually what we can get from some of the big box places where their usual recommendation is to reboot the operating system. These guys actually will go through the machine and if I have a problem they can actually restore everything originally back on there. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

My vista operating system crashed on my laptop-not an unusual problem for vista, but this time uninstalling recent updates or going to a restore point was not working even in safe mode. I tried my full bag of tricks and then started having trouble even geting the mouse driver to work. things were getting worse by the moment as I tried to rescue a few key files. I have alot of audio/video/educational programming that resides on my laptop (that is backed up thankfully..but recent version in last week after a bunch of edits is not). just copying/pasting these files in safe mode to a thumb drive leads to ridiculous loss of referential integrity/file association loss and would result in useless file...program has to run and be opened and saved in different location. my concern with just replacing the OS was that just copying the files, wiping the drive would lead to this problem. I met Bob who runs Patriot network. They have been working out of Shirley for quite a while, but moved to downtown Ayer recently. Bob is usually available by cell phone as they are sometimes out of the office as they make house calls to examine machines. They handle software/OS issues, set up and monitor home and office networks, do firewall/virus installs, remote data backup, etc. they dont do hardware sales...but if you need to order parts or software then you pay what they pay for parts--plus the shipping. These guys were REALLY helpful-explaining everything as they went. they do not charge for the diagnosis of your problem. After confirming it was not a hardwarre issue, they spent at least 3-4 hours that I am personally aware of trying to uninstall the virus protection system (challenging with eset on a hinky OS), reinstall some temporary mouse drivers, and then try to patch/fix vista. when they couldn't fix vista, they told me what I would need to buy and where to get it, and explained how I could fix the machine (they were confident I could do it on my own),.Or for $50 (for 1 hour of expected labor which including ghosting the existing Vista OS and data files in case anything went wrong with the upgrade I could still get any files through the old OS) plus the cost of the windows 7 OS. I elected to let them do it. Bob gave me call every day to let me know the status of whether or not the OS had come in the mail or not yet, and how things were progressing. At the end of it, I insisted on them charging me at least $100 beyond the cost of the OS (which I had a receipt for their cost--no hidden markup), I was so satisfied with the service. Highly recomend this company for personal computing issues. inexpensive, honest, free diagnostic time, and they make housecalls.
