Extremely pleased with this professional and personable group. From start to finish they were prompt and easy to communicate with. We found them on our local Nextdoor groupchat, highly recommended. Great price for the job (3 trees taken down) all done in one morning! They obviously have a perfect system, fun to watch! We will absolutely use them the next time.

Responded promptly to provide an estimate and schedule a date. They had a cancellation and called to see if we were available to fill their slot. Provided advice on trimming and on which trees to remove. Walked through the yard to be sure they understood what we had in mind. Paused before the job was completely done to give us a chance to look at the effect of removing some of the trees and decide how much more we wanted done. Work was done quickly, the birch we wanted to keep for decoration was cut into sections and left aside, everything else was chipped and chips were dumped out of the way for us to use. Very easy to work with, would definitely use again.

Zach and his team at H.M. Flagg were fantastic. It was a pleasure to work them and the communication was top notch. Watching these guys work it was apparent that they are a well oiled machine. We were impressed with the quality of work and appreciation of their trade. We would definitely recommend them and would use again!

Estimate was clear and straightforward. Explained what they would do and how they would go about the work. Was notified prior to arrival. While I was not home when the work was done, when I arrived home from work all work was completed. No problems. A bit more expensive than another company I have used in the past.

Zack provided an estimate based on two photos I took and sent him.  Billy and Sean showed up the next day (Wednesday the 18th) - a little mixup regarding arrival time, but nothing serious.  They got right to work, using plastic shovels.  Took them longer than expected, they had to come back the next day, but they did a super job.  They were very careful not to ding up the roof shingles or the new screened gutters.  It took far longer than I think Zack estimated, but in fairness it is a very large roof, and the two pictures I sent didn't have scale, nor were they able to capture the back or far side of the roof where the snow was deepest.  Both Billy and Sean were very professional and shoveled non-stop.  Final price was larger than the original estimate, but again I had no problem paying it as I was home throughout and could attest to the level of effort required.

They were in and out in a very short time frame. They removed two huge pine trees and chipped them on the spot.

They have a good reputation. They were good and I thought they were a little expensive but afterwards I hear people, "Oh no, I could it got done this or that, whatever". They were confident and they did a good job. I was surprised that they didn't grind the stumps and then I found out that that's not necessarily that I would have to pay for that separately. They did the trees, they did the stumps and they did everything so that was a surprise for me that I have to pay separately to have the stumps ground.

We had 2 major tree cutting jobs to be performed and - based on Angie's list - selected a couple of companies to make offers. We decided to go locally with Matt because when meeting him, he made a very good impression, trustful, reliable and a fair pricing, good sense of humor. All went very fine on both occasions, could not have been done better, a real pleasure to interact with him and his crew. We are 100% satisfied with the result and the yard looks so much better now with the sunlight coming in!

They did a great job with very tall trees, extending the lift to the fullest extent, and then sectioning the tree bit by bit. It took a full day for these very large trees, and they controlled the removal well, leaving no mess. While every other quote charged for leaving limbs sectioned for firewood, they left us part of the tree for no charge and were $1000 less than their competitor.

no complains. good quality work. The tree looks properly trimmed, the widowmakers and overhanging branches are no longer an issue. They chipped the wood, and hauled it away the mulch, they then cleaned up the chippings, leaves and small branches from the yard.

I would recommend them. They were really good. They came out to give an estimate right on the spot and he was very nice. They were prompt, gave a fair price, did the work and were very nice people. They were responsive to moving to these other people who were at my house so they could get in and out. They were great, very professional and did the job. They recommended removing a limb that was getting near my house at no extra cost.

My initial phone call was returned promptly later that day, and we set an appointment for looking at the proposed work and getting an estimate. The tree work was then performed within a week of my getting that estimate - with a phone call from Mr Flagg the day prior to the work to confirm. The yard was left in excellent condition after the work. I am extremely satisfied with the job well done, and feel the price was very reasonable as well, $800 for all. I will call Mr Flagg for any future tree trimming jobs without hesitation.

Matt and his crew did an outstanding job of felling the trees and of thoroughly cleaning up  the yard.  They came when promised and were exceedingly efficient in their work.  I was amazed at how fast they got the job done and delighted at how clean they left the yard.

I used them a few years ago for some smaller scale tree work and will use them in the future for any tree removal work I need.

They did an excellent job.  We were concerned they would tear up yard that did not happen they were very professional and when I questioned about a tree we thought was possibly bad they assured us it was in good shape . . . . they removed a couple branches from the tree to help it grow better.  I would use them again and refer them to anyone that asked.

A large tree limb fell across the roof of my garage due to the weight of snow and ice from a recent storm.  I own 2 chain saws and have some cutting skills and experience, but removing this tree limb was not something I was comfortable tackling myself.  I was concerned that if not properly handled, the limb could, at the least, cause additional damage to the roof or, at worst, crash through the roof.  I called and left messages and emails for several local tree service companies I found on Angies List, in the phone book and online directory.  The next day, I received a return call to voice mail from someone at H.M. Flagg Tree Service informing me that they'd receive my message and Matt would be calling me later to discuss the job.  Later that day, I received a call from Matt.  He and I discussed the job, at which time I expressed my concern that there be no additional damage to the garage roof, which had been replaced just recently.  We negotiated a price for removal of the limb, which I thought was very reasonable.  Due to the number of downed trees and the high demand for tree service companies as a result of the storm, Matt informed me that the price did not include removal of brush and debris as his priority at this time was to simply make safe the situation.  Matt showed up at my house the next day, as promised, and removed the limb without causing any additional damage to the roof.  He placed the branches and brush in a neat pile and cut the main section of limb into manageable sized logs that I'll season and burn in my fireplace.  My experience with H.M. Flagg Tree Service was nothing but positive.  Matt was very personable on the phone and I?m extremely pleased with his work and the care he used in removing the limb.  Although my job was relatively small compared to the damage from fallen trees others suffered, Matt made my job a priority.  I will definitely use H.M. Flagg for my future tree services needs and will highly recommend them to others.

This was several years ago, but they were prompt, professional, had all the correct equipment and obviously knew what they were doing. I need to do some tree work next spring, and they will be first on my list of people to call.  I don't remember the exact price, but I was more worried about getting someone good than I was about getting the lowest price, and they did not disappoint.
