Mike and his crew are efficient, courteous, and always ready to hear any concerns that the homeowner may have. They always clean up after themselves, which is more than I can say about many service providers we've tried in the past. Service was provided quickly and at the price that was quoted.
Mike also informed us beforehand about the MassSave heat loan program that we weren't aware of. We were able to get a zero interest loan through that program to finance the work. That alone saved us a lot of money!
Our old boiler had developed a crack and was sending most of the steam up the chimney. Since our hot water also came from that system, we had Mike install a new and much more efficient heat pump water heater.
Before all of this, Mike had also made repairs to the old furnace and installed a new oil tank to replace the ancient one we inherited when we bought this house. He always responded to emergency calls quickly -- even on weekends, so that we would not be without heat during the winter.

Installation took about two days, including the necessary electrical work. Workers were all courteous and efficient. After the installation was complete, they took the time to clean up after themselves. They also made sure to test the heating units to confirm that everything was working properly before they left.
We had also had this provider do emergency repair work on our old heating system and found him to be very responsive to our needs no matter what day of the week our emergencies occurred (don't they ALWAYS seem to happen on the weekend?)

The installation went well as noted. There has been one minor issue since: a pipe joint they installed on the hot water tank corroded because of mixing metals incorrectly, but this was quickly fixed by a local handyman.
The most significant problem I have had is poor resonsiveness/communication after installation. They recommended an annual service call for the boiler, which seems reasonable. An initial email last spring was responded to, saying that they would get to it in a few weeks. Never hearing back, I re-emailed, tried to contact through the website, and left phone messages, none of which were responded to. It is OK with me if they are too busy to service the equipment they installed, but not OK to not respond at all. I found a local company to do the service with no problem. I consider their work to be good, but their customer service to be poor.
