Everything came out fine, but the price was about twice as high as it should been. The problem is that they sent 2 people to do a one person job. Their prices were reasonable the first 2 times I called them.

Cyr was able to send a technician the day I called about the loss of power to my new house. The repair was simple -- reconnecting a broken cable -- but timing was crucial, as I had movers scheduled to show up the next day. I was entirely content with the work and will probably have Cyr back to do a service upgrade.

"In response to the customer's comments on January 18, 2013: The customer was directly contacted by the owner of the company, Darren Cyr, in an effort to resolve the above stated issues. Mr. Cyr and the customer discussed how the generator that was installed in the spring of 2012 appeared to be having an issue with the programming in regards to the automatic test that takes place with the generator on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond Cyr Electric's control we were unable to provide Jesse with the service that he required in order to correct this problem. The customer was referred though to 2 local contractors that were also certified Generac service providers. One contractor we regret to say did not return the customer's phone calls, however the second contractor did call him back and offered to provide the service on his generator. Cyr Electric's project manager and owner have had sevaerl converstations with Jesse during this process and have tried to provide the best support as possible. The customer has been provided with Darren's personal cell phone number and was advised to call if there were any further problems and affirmed him that any and all issues would be resolved properly and completely. In closing, the customer was a complete gentleman and had a legitimate complaint, and stated that he appreciated our efforts in trying to resolve the issue and says that he would continue to use Cyr Electric for his electrical needs."

The person meeting with me to collect all the information for a bid proposal was open to examining various strategies to meet my objective and we found a cost effective work plan. On the day set for installation, two respectful young men arrived prepared with all required supplies and clear drawings from the bid developer. The work was completed within the time frame estimated by the contract, clean up was meticulous.

Were very responsive when I called and had someone come out within 48 hours for the quote.
Total work, including install took less than 2 hours.
The generator run they installed worked during Hurricane Sandy - So that is nice.
Surge protector is nice to have.
When i expressed some concerns, the owner of the company personally reached out to me and dropped by to go over all of the work and provide me with additional information I requested.
Owner was sincere... took pride in his company and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Based upon the owner standing by his company and his workmanship... and more importantly his willingness to do whatever it takes to make sure I was happy - I am going to use them again int he future.

Cyr Electric's representative responded promptly to our request for an estimate and was most helpful in determining what we needed for an emergency generator; was available during our decision process to answer questions about which make and model to choose. Response to my call to schedule the work was prompt and the job was scheduled at our convenience.
The technician arrived on time and completed his tasks efficiently and professionally. He was most helpful and patient with us as we learned how to operate the generator.
Overall, a great experience; we will not hesitate to use Cyr Electric for any future electrical needs

He was good in his work. He explained it all to me. On punctuality was good. He was very polite, very nice. I made him give me his card so I could call him if I needed him again. I took a couple of cards for my neighbors as well.

It only took one call to have them show up and do an estimate. Once I approved the estimate the work was scheduled and done quickly. Overall it was a good experience and I would use Cyr Electric again.

I was working on a tight schedule with my other contractors, so I was thrilled when Dave from Cyr was able to come out the same day I called. In fact, I got a call back from Cyr within minutes of my leaving a message with their paging service. My house is old and has a lot of legacy issues with the way the wiring was done, so I was feeling doomed that this problem was going to take forever to figure out. Dave arrived and was warm and professional. After I described what had happened and where the other workers had been working, he immediately started investigating the problem. He worked very methodically from the power source, checking each connection along the wire, to identify where the short was occuring. Despite the confusing wiring layout of my old house, he was able to quickly get half the power back up for the part of the circuit not effected by the short, and then later restore everything. He made sure to check with me whenever he needed to look in different rooms or open up certain panels, which helped assure me he was making progress. Cyr's ability to arrive same-day and fix my problem saved my construction schedule and my sanity. Money well spent.
