Urban & Silva Wood Floors

Wonderfully. Mike was punctual, professional, does beautiful and meticulous work, is very neat, and stuck to his estimate and timely. What more could you ask for?

I used them last summer. They were very good. They really knew what they were doing. They were prompt. They were careful. The price was fine.

We recently moved to Medfield, MA. When we purchased the home almost all of the floors were covered with wall-to-wall carpet. The realtor indicated that there were hardwood floors below the carpet. We hired Urban and Silva Wood Floors to remove all of the carpet, sand and refinish all of the hard wood floors in our homes. After completing the first day of work; Scott called me to let me know there were some stains on the floor he did not think we could remove. I stopped by to look at the stains and they were pretty bad. The good news, Scott and his team were able to sand and remove almost all of the stains. The floors (red-oak) look fantastic. We put a few area rugs to cover the few stains which remain. I would absolutely hire Urban and Silva if I have future needs.

After an initial call, they met us for a look at a floor that they had previously done to show their quality. Throughout the process, we had EXCELLENT communications. They told me what I needed to do before the floor would be installed (I chose to remove the old underlayment, linolium and rug and refasten the sub floor as I am handy and retired). The materials were delivered on the date agreed upon, the install and finishing were also punctual. The quality of the job is excellent! They did what they said they would, and did it well and on time!!

Every step of the process went well. First Mike and Scott dropped by to take measurements, then they sent me an estimate by e-mail. From there we communicated by e-mail several times, and they always answered my questions fully. They approached the job thoughtfully, installing a vapor barrier below the new floor when it was discovered that beneath the layer of particle board that they removed was only another layer of particle board, and solving other problems on the fly. They left regular updates and when the job was finished they left the house as they found it -- not a bit of dust or damage left behind. they took a conscientious approach to my property, did a great job, kept me informed and were friendly and a pleasure to talk with. I highly recommend Urban and Silva.

My neighbor had used them and I saw her floors and they were terrific. They removed some stains on my floors.
