United Home Experts installed new sliding doors in my apartment. Even though there were some issues in the installation. United home experts agreed to follow up, assess and put effort to fix the issues. I would like to call out Mario who has been extremely attentive and dedicated to accommodate and fix the issue. Businesses that back up the work is vital and United Home Experts is one of them. Thank you United Experts for your professionalism. Would definitely recommend the business.

United Home Experts does not stand behind the quality of their work, which in the case of a 20K+ project that they did for us, involved a significant oversight that rendered that work pointless. I think -- and other contractors we have brought in to look at the problem think -- that the oversight was significant enough to demonstrate negligence on their part. We hired United Home Experts to replace the roofing and the section of our deck over one of our garage bays, where water leaks had caused damage to the ceiling and walls of the garage. The sole purpose of the 20K + project was to prevent further damage due to leaks. Because of their failure to properly flash one of the walls adjoining the deck (they flashed another, longer wall), within three years, water had leaked through the wall and caused more significant damage than what they had been brought in to fix. The 20K+ was wasted. United Home Experts has refused to take any responsibility for failing to deliver on what they had promised. I have attached photos of the ceiling of our garage and the wood rot behind it. In one of the photos, the rot is so severe that the wood is completely worn through. Again, this happened within three years of contracting United Home Experts to do the work. I also attached a photo of the poor workmanship of their deck re-installation -- splitting in the joists that they had just installed. I caught the problem and made them reinstall the joists but didn't catch their failure to flash one of the walls adjoining the deck. In general, I found the company to be extremely unresponsive throughout the installation process and uncooperative in attempting to resolve this issue. The representative handling the account has been ducking me, repeatedly failing to call back within reasonable time frames (or most recently, even within a time frame he had set). We hope that United Home Experts will change course and attempt to respond reasonably to the damage that their oversight caused. The President of the company claims to be a "faith-based entrepreneur." Whichever faith that happens to be, his company reflects poorly on it, at least in our case. P.S. Excellent staff. Listen to your needs and adapt proposal. We had Cedar Siding project and they could of just said yes we will replace the whole house like every other contractor but UHE suggested we do one side and preserve the rest and laid out how they would do it. Excellent.

The team did a great job from sales to finished work. Highly recommend.

Very professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The job was at a condo development and Scott worked very well with the facilities manager to ensure that they were comfortable with the finished product. I really cannot say enough good things about him and his crew. More windows will need to be replaced at this address and I hope to be able to request that Scott be the project manager when that comes to pass.

Although the project here at my home has not started yet the representative has gone above and beyond to understand the scope of the work needed for my home. I should note this is not a delay on the part of United Home Experts in any way. This company wanted to begin much sooner and I needed to square away some details here before I was able to give this company the go ahead for the project. I feel confident everything will be done correctly the first time. The representative is being cautious to make sure that all the fine details are gone over and not overlooked for this project. In addition the representative has ALWAYS been extremely polite and maintains extreme professionalism at ALL times. The communication has been over the top and response times to any questions or thoughts you may have regarding your project are extremely prompt. This far in I can say that if you are considering this company you will be able to have peace of mind that you are in good hands. Excellent installation personnel. Cooperative, helpful and displayed a focus on customer satisfaction. I have had the opportunity to have Fernando at my home on two occasions and his efforts to insure quality work stand out and he is a credit to your company. I would rate this as five stars. I am not as satisfied with the support from the company to address product issues in a timely manner. Quality control and sense of urgency in resolution need more attention. My rating here is represented by the three stars.

Hosting was very nice and polite. He got the job done quickly and it looked good.

The small issues we had, they resolved quickly and easily. Carpenter was knowledgeable, fast, effective and clean up was great too.

They did a great job and worked long hours to get it done quickly. They ran into some issues with rotten sheathing and were quick to bring it to my attention and the upcharge for the change order was reasonable. The site was a little messy during their work but they cleaned it up and came back a second time to clean again without me saying anything or asking about it. I will hire them again.

This is a follow-up to my original review written on 8 October 2019. I do not know how to edit/delete my original review on Home Advisor so this is the best I can do. On 23 October I was contacted by phone by Alan and John who are project managers at United Home Experts. They had just read my 8 Oct review and wanted to speak with me about how my issues could be addressed. They apologized for the time delay (which resulted when the incorrect siding was received) and for not replacing the rotted plywood sheathing. In addition to the originally- agreed-upon $300 lowering of the project cost they added $250 to that amount. My credit card was credited with $550 on 25 Oct. I have increased my rating from 3 starts to 5 stars since I am now very impressed by their desire to do whatever they must in order to maintain their historical good reputation. But as I stated in my original review, I still strongly suggest that the homeowner try to be home while the work is being done so as to catch any errors/problems before they occur. But then this is a good suggestion with any contractor, not just United.

The crews did a fine job removing worn cedar siding and installing new Everlast composite siding onto one side of my home. My issue is with the project management. The contract was written to install new siding to match the profile configuration of the remaining walls, namely 4-1/2â . On the day the crew began to install the new Everlast I had something to do in the morning and did not arrive home until after the crew had already begun to install the Everlast. The moisture barrier had been installed, which was fine, but to my shock, the siding that they were installing was 6-7/8â Everlast and not 4-1/2â . Fortunately they had only installed two courses at that point. The workers contacted the project manager and stopped work. The explanation I was given was that the warehouse sent the wrong siding (I find that unlikely. More likely the wrong siding was ordered by United). Fast forward a full week, the correct siding was delivered. Keep in mind that it was necessary to have Solar Panel electrical meters removed in order to facilitate the new siding install. During the down time I was not generating any solar electricity so time was money, in this case. When the project was originally scoped out by the on-site appraiser, I mentioned that there was an area where the plywood sheathing had rotted, due to rain getting under a carriage light. He assured me that replacing bad sheathing was all part of the job. I also mentioned this to the project manager when he came out to my home prior to work beginning. I even wrote a reminder note, with a magic marker, on the old siding at the area that needed the sheathing replaced. Well despite my best efforts, the rotted sheathing was not removed and the new siding was installed over that rotted sheathing. I knew there was a problem when I pushed against the mounting pad for the carriage light and it was wobbly. The crew had attempted to anchor the mounting pad using screws, instead of nails, but of course they were just screwing into rotted plywood. When I spoke to the project manager I told him I did not want any siding removed to address the plywood issue. I told him that I would personally attempt to correct the mounting pad problem by working from inside the garage interior wall. Per my request he agreed that United would lower the price of the job from $13,300 to $13,000 to reimburse me for my time to correct the problem. Well, my credit card was charged for the full $13,300. I left a voice mail with the project manager and asked him to correct the credit card charge. Itâ s now been two weeks and my credit card has not been credited with the $300 correction. The other day I spent about three hours fixing the mounting pad by securing it to the interior sheet rock. The new carriage light is now firmly installed. IN CONSLUSION: If you choose to go with United Home Experts I strongly recommend that you consistently keep an eye on their work during all phases of the project and do not use a credit card to pay but instead write out check(s).
