The work went incredibly well. I had a compressed deadline as I had a buyer for my condo already lined up. Keith did the work in less time than estimated, was professional, responsive to phone calls and courteous to my neighbors.

Keith left piles of trash everywhere he worked inside and out. He rushed through the job leaving large gaps in random places, damaging the wood in other places, not securing woodworking in other places and not completing it in other places. He took the money from my wife as I was away, her trusting him that everything was complete. When I brought the problems to his attention by sending pictures to him as he failed to come see the problems himself he claimed I somehow created defects to the workmanship after he left, that the defects were not there when he completed the work. What? Are you serious Keith. I'm shocked that someone who relies on this forum could be so callous and insensitive to his clients needs. Basically accusing the clients of creating defects in the workmanship. Keith also stated there were parts of the work he wasn't supposed to do. Yet he came here and looked at it with his own two eyes prior to quoting. He also said retrieving the materials was not his responsibility. But he failed to show up prior to start of job to create a stock list for delivery as originally planned therefore leaving himself in that position. Keith definitely has the skills, he just doesn't have the attention to detail or the customer service skills needed for running a business. I have had to hire another carpenter to fix his mistakes at an additional cost of $400. I gave him the chance to make it right but he chose to walk away. Very disappointing experience.

Keith did an awesome job repairing water damage from a deck that wasn't flashed properly. He also hung an exterior door that had to be replaced. I purchased it from the Door Shop in Grafton (Fiberglass lifetime warrantee). He let me work with him to cut the cost so we finished the job sooner and saved me probably $300 -$500 at least. He was reasonably priced, easy to work with and did a great job. I definitely plan to call him again for other projects.

We decided to use Keith to build our deck because he was extremely responsive from the start. His knowledge, responsiveness and professionalism led us to the decision. It was a good decision! Keith was able to readily identify ways to improve the look of the deck and identify ways of saving money too. We felt educated about the options available and it was easy to decide which route to take. Keith has great attention to detail and stays within budget. He worked for us (not himself), and his main concern was that we were satisfied with the outcome. The project was completed ahead of schedule and the deck looks fabulous! We will certainly hire Keith again and recommend that others do too.

Quality, Professional, On Time and Budget with outstanding soft skills (great communication, friendly, optimistic...yet realistic and intuitive and insightful)

The above characteristics are what I want in my contractor and Keith has them all. When you think about it, when you hire a contractor they become a part of your home and if your project is going to last longer than a day, you want someone who not only has the skills to do the job but to also be an honest person with characteristics you value. I have had several contractors in and out of my house (which is 114 years old) and for one reason or another I was extremely disappointed in quality, honesty (had $ stolen), poor planning and communication and one simply had attitude and yelled at me...I think he forgot I was the customer and he was in my home. So when it comes to hiring a contractor I am extremely particular at this point.

Keith is a sure thing! I will hire him for my next job without hesitation. I trust Keith, I trusted him with the keys to my house and with my most precious dog...who came to love Keith. When family and friend stopped by he had the appropriate social skills. I also appreciated the fact that he did not stink of cigarette smoke or alcohol from the night before (which has happened with other contractors). Keith is also a dad, so if you have children he is engaging and appropriate.

Trust me...you want Keith for your next job too!!!
