We worked with Divine Stoneworks for our kitchen renovation. Dakota was very helpful at the beginning, and very personable. And that was the reason we picked them over other companies. However, it was all problems after that including the coordination of the template and install and quality of work. Before the template, we were missing a cabinet, so I tried to reach them multiple times to reschedule the measurement. They confirmed that they are canceling it, and yet it turned out they never canceled it. After cabinet was delivered. I tried multiple times again to reach, was not easy to reach them. Finally, we agreed on mitered edge for the island and after much discussion with Dakota we decided to pay extra to do a stone build up under the island both to support the island and also to have an aesthetical look. We signed the price quote as discussed with these details. And scheduled install for 1 week later. I received an email 2 days before the install saying that they will need to cancel install if I don't respond on how to do the miter edge. They will cancel installation on an email mind you for something that they already have. I told them it is already in the agreement, and asked them to talk to Dakota in their team. They said ok, They came and did the install on the agreed day. However, I had multiple issues: stone connections were not high quality, not smooth at all, there was a curvy cut on one of the corners (looks like a obvious mistake), and most importantly they decided not to do the stone build up under the island and not even tell us about it. When I noticed it and questioned why it is not done, and how come they are still charging me for it. They back tracked and they said they can take that charge off, and they decided that it was "not needed". I said that it should be my decision, and we signed papers on how we want to work done. They charged my balance right away. After that, I mentioned about writing a review online, that is when they decided reach out to me and send a technician to check things out. I declined, for me it is not money but it is principle. I would not work with this company for any projects. They seem to have poor communication, and coordination. Quality of the work is not there (mind you we paid $15000 to them), and it is on the verge of being unethical with changing an order, not telling the customer, and trying to charge the customer for it.
