Did an excellent job, showed up on time , work was preformed as specified cleanup up after overall an excellent job at a competitive price

The job went very well overall. Pete was responsive to questions I had via text and e-mail before and during the job. He was always punctual.  My son and I had to stay at a local Bed & Breakfast as expected, while the work was done because of the layout of my home. for about 4 days.  The crew did a good job. They were great about making sure that plastic sheets were put up to keep any dust out of the areas not under construction.  I was disappointed that some baseboards were thrown away during the redo of the den floor...and couldn't be salvaged.  I am going to put a book case in the indented area (originally had a built in house in the space), so I didn't make a big issue about it,but I was disappointed. Pete had to come back to fix a closet threshold in the den, and a crack in the wall from the sander.  He came back and fixed things right away. 
Also, the crew didn't have good communication regarding the install of the den closet with the floor boards from the other rooms.  Pete had to spend additional time salvaging wood for the closet and sanding-staining it separately when he came back to do the bedroom closet. Delayed use of this closet.
A few notes to others: I didn't realize until the winter that there was a gap between the bottom of the stairs and the redone floor!  We have had a bad draft from this gap and have to have it fixed by a carpenter that can cut a piece and try to stain it to match.   Word of advice is to check changes to the floor, especially in an older home when some issues won't be found until the season changes.  Also.. I have a big hump in the middle of the room which is making it difficult to use a office chair.  I was not aware that this would be an issue until after the job was done and I went to use the chair!

The actual installation went well.  The problem is afterwards when we noticed that the end floor boards were not flush with the floor.  Despite numerous requests, emails, phone calls, etc.  Peter Barresi has refused to finish up the work.  Should have held up payment until this was done.
This has left a very bad impression.  This small task should have been done in a week or two at the most.  It has been TWO MONTHS and nothing.  I have to say that I would NOT HIRE BARRESI FLOORING again.  No follow up is extremely unprofessional.  After spending considerable money for the job, this would be the least one would expect.
STAY AWAY!

We bought a new house and needed the hardwood installation done quickly before we can move in. Peter has been very responsive to our tight timelines. He brought the wood to the house literally 2 hours after we got the keys. The wood needed to stay a couple of days in the house before he could start. He then came with his crew and worked long days. He completed the work in a bit more than 1 week. He did a great job. This month we asked him to come back as we just finished a new walk in closet and the floor needed to be done. He came and did the work as he promised once again. Our floors are stunning now. I especially appreciated his professionalism and customer focus. I recommend him highly. I will use his services again any time.

alI hired Barresi flooring Inc. for a install and sand and finish job for my home. Pete and his crew were great all around, very professional, Very clean and a pleasure to have in my home..  His estimate was very detailed and easy to understand. His prices were very reasonable.  I would refer him to anyone in need of flooring and 

The job was done perfectly, on time, and competitively priced. Again....I strongly recommend them.
