As we were only a couple of miles away, however, John said we could have the ladder delivered in the next day or so - basically when an employee with a truck was available to drive it over. We went to Shattucks and picked out a ladder with the help of Jeff, and then Pete took down our details and processed the order. The ladder arrived the next morning, as promised. This is the type of personal service that makes a local enterprise a better option than a national chain.
Description of Work: We needed to buy a ladder to get on our roof, but had no way to transport it home.

Description of Work: I go to Shattucks all the time for household and repair items. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and patient and helpful with advice on what you need for your project. I also like that you can buy just the amount of things you need, not a whole bubble pack for just a couple of screws, etc. But mostly the staff just make it a pleasure to do business there.
