ROBER SURVEY / H & R SURVEY

I emailed several times and called to schedule in early November. I finally got a hold of them by the end of the month. They quoted me $1300 which was reasonable and said they would have it done in 4-6 weeks. Long story, but they ended up doing it in April. They spent all day at my property and were generally professional once there. After they were finished and I went inside, they knocked on my door and asked for payment right then. I kind of laughed and said I would mail it. Sorry but it took you this long to do it, I am not paying you instantly after it took you this long to do it. Don't have a website with an email if you aren't going to respond to people.

Rober was the second firm I called.  (The first one was booked out 2 months, and quoted a minimum of $2000.)  They were available within 2 weeks, and had a much lower quote.  They were familiar with my section of town (Arlington) which has many unusually shaped plots.  They came when expected, and established and marked the 8 corners of my irregular plot.  This involved some tramping through marsh and briars!  I was very pleased with the plot plan they provided, which showed the location of the house on the plot much more accurately than the town plat.

He was great. He was punctual, efficient and had it done quickly.

Rober's responsiveness was very poor. I called them 5 or 6 times to simply get this job done. It was as though they didn't need the work. They seem disorganized. The work itself was correct. Stakes were placed on the property line. My complaint is based on the way their office treated me on the phone. I would not recommend them.

Professionally well done. Mr. Rober kindly took time and patiently went over the surveyed plot map to see if my deck plan will be feasible and suggested options, for no charge! His consultation was very helpful. I will hire his service when my deck is finished for a new condo property survey.

They did the report and it was as I guess I had expected. They got it done during the closing process which was what we needed. I have used them before but we didn't end up doing what we had talked about doing. I didn't interact with them so I really cannot say anything about their professionalism.

I think the quality of the work was outstanding and Cliff did a great job explaining and making me aware of some details I needed to know. I think there is an oppportunity for improvement for this company with punctuality and responsiveness. The job was scheduled to be completed mid-Feburary. The final deliverable plan for filing was recieved at the end of May. True the weather was not cooperating at the site and my lawyer wanted some references added to plan , however, it was still way overdue and it took several emails and phone calls to finish the process. It was a minor annoyance because I really was satisfied with the product. I would say it was worth waiting for. Price was very competitive based on 3 estimates taken.

THESE FOLKS GAVE ME A GOOD PRICE AND SEEM TO HAVE DONE GOOD WORK. THEY WERE FAMILIAR WITH MY TOWN'S REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE SURVEY, WHICH WAS A BIG HELP. THE FIRST CREW SENT OUT WERE A LITTLE CARELESS ABOUT THE SHAPE OF A DECK AND DID NOT INCLUDE A COUPLE OF ITEMS I SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO HAVE INCLUDED. THE SECOND GUY, WHO CAME TO DOUBLE CHECK AND STAKE THE LINES, APOLOGIZED FOR THAT, TOOK MORE MEASUREMENTS AND FIXED THE PROBLEMS. HOWEVER, GETTING OUR FINAL PLOT PLAN FROM THEM HAS TAKEN FAR TOO LONG. WE'RE STILL WAITING. THE INITIAL DRAFT WE GOT WAS IN JULY AND IT'S NOW ALMOST NOVEMBER.

THE WORK PRODUCT WAS EXCELLENT. HOWEVER, IF YOU NEED A SURVEY IN A HURRY, YOU SHOULD TRY ANOTHER FIRM. WHEN I CALLED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, THE FIRST AVAILABLE DATE WAS 1 MONTH LATER. EVEN THEN, THE FIRM DID NOT SHOW UP ON THE SCHEDULE DATE AND ACTUALLY CAME TO THE SITE 1 WEEK LATER, AND THE SURVEY MAP WAS SENT TO ME 2 WEEKS AFTER THE SITE VISIT. ALL IN ALL, I HAD THE FINAL PRODUCT 7 WEEKS FROM THE DATE OF MY INITIAL CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. THE PRODUCT WAS DETAILED AND WELL DONE, AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLY, BUT PUNCTUALITY CAN BE IMPROVED.
