Interior Design and Decorating
Rachel Reid was punctual in getting back to us and scheduling an appointment. We described our thoughts but were looking for a decorator to provide input and creativity. We don't need a decorator if we are happy with a plan we come up with on our own. Rachel listened carefully and put together ideas that essentially reflected only what we said. Color and fabric choices were not in keeping with our input. We described a bed with special features we were thinking about and she drew a sketch of a bed that we saw in a Crate & Barrel catalog. In the end, we spent ~$2500.00 and received no value added, so we stopped the engagement. What was worse, we asked for the balance of our $3000.00 deposit and were told that because we had waited for months to ask for a refund of the unused portion of the deposit, it would not be returned.
