Ranch Roofing

I thought it was great that he fixed the problem for me. I didn't spend anything for the job. He was responsive, punctual, and professional.

Very easy. Bob was very accomodating on coming over at a convenient time to give an estimate. I had three estimates and Ranch's came in the middle. The description of what was needed was thorough. The brand of shingles had very high ratings on Consumer Reports. I scheduled the work to be done four weeks later to avoid overlapping with house guests. The crew came right on time and finished by mid-afternoon. The yard was spotless.

It took a couple of calls, but once they showed up, they were extremely professional. Gave an estimate on the spot. Explained the warranty. Explained the differences between their bid and a competitor's bid. They showed up on time, actually a day early. Finished the work very quickly, less than a day. We put on the rubber roof because of 2 ice dams last year (very expensive). We look forward to 40 years of no ice dams.

It took a few days for the estimator to call me back, but when he came he gave me a good detailed description of the work that would be done and the materials that would be used. My new roof was done about 3 weeks after I accepted their proposal, and I got exactly what I expected. The crew was polite and they did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. Ranch roofing's price was also lower that the two other estimates I had, and I did not get any surprises when it was time to pay - the estimate was right on.

The big issue is that they won't be able to get to it for a month. I contacted seven people and only two called me back. They were the most professional. The other estimate was more expensive. They were honest and said that it was only going to be a small job and that we would only need three shingles. They said that we had shingles underneath these shingles and it would take only a few hours. They were very responsive and professional.

I think that the price was great. When I first called them no one called me back. I almost when with another company and they were able to call me back before I agreed to the work. My son and I agreed to meet with them and they gave me an estimate. I agreed with the estimate and he came out to my office to pick up the deposit. We wanted to have the work done in the end of August, because the roof was leaking. The work ended up spilling into September. I think that the work was done well and I got what I paid for. If I was not in a hurry to have the work done I would use them again.

As a new customer, I now feel that Ranch Renovations (RR) stands for quality work -- on schedule and on budget. RR started the roof project exactly on the target start date that had been mutually selected over 1 month earlier (upon the signing the contract). The owner (Bob O'Sullivan) was present to launch the project and he physically stopped by each day that work was under way. In addition, he telephoned me with appreciated updates / status reports. And yes, there was a customer friendly job supervisor present on site during all work hours.

I called for an estimate, an appointment was promptly made, and I received their estimate. Then a couple of weeks later, Bob called and said that he realized that the estimate included a lot of information and he offered to come by and walk me through everything and answer any questions I might have. I appreciated the offer, because I've never done a roof before. He spent over an hour with me and I felt so much more comfortable, because now I had a greater understanding of what would be done and why. The crew they used was very professional and very thorough. The supervisor, Ryan, checked in with me every morning to let me know what progress had been made. They installed a small dumpster in my driveway and did a thorough job cleaning up every evening, so I didn't walk into a demolition zone when I came home from work. The job took 2 days, even though they had to remove 4 previous roofs. The work included a 30-year guarantee on materials and a 15-year guarantee on labor. Their estimate was lower than the other proposals I received. I definitely recommend Ranch Roofing!

Ryan was very punctual and professional when he came for the quote and provided that quickly. I signed the contract for them to do the work in May. Ryan had assured me they would be able to complete the work a few weeks after the contract was signed. We did not hear from them the whole summer. I called them at the end of August. They apologized and promised to come by the end of the following week. They did not. I called again after more than three weeks. They apologized again and did come and complete the work a few days later. They were quick and left the place very clean.

They were fine but I don't think the underlayment needed to be done. They were trying to push this product.

It went very well. Initially there was some difficulty contacting them and follow up, but after the job was agreed upon everything went as planned. They did clean up well.

They came out really good. My fianc? pretty much did all the talking with them, and so I?m not sure of their responsiveness. I would use them in the future if it becomes necessary.

Very responsive and very fast. Excellent communication. Quality materials resulted in high cost but they only use great long-term materials AND are able to privide exceptional long-term labor guarantee. These guys are good.

They were professional and responsive. The crew who came did a great job and cleaned up every day. They did everything that they said they were going to do. They also came up with a creative solution for one of the gutter problem that we had, which costed me less money than other proposals. They completed the work in a timely manner.

I asked him for a break down of the cost for each portion of the job. They did not respond to that request.

Good overall experience. There were some delays from when we first realized we needed new roof but most of that was b/c of our decision making process and issues with scheduling and coordinating with other home projects.

My entire experience with this company was great. They were easy to reach and communicate with. I had a very narrow window of time in which to get the job done, and they could accommodate me. Everything was thoroughly explained and materials were shown to me. The work went faster than expected, everything was left clean. The owner cam e by on the final day to look things over as well. Attention to detail was great.

Ranch was completely professional from start to finish. They callled back promptly. We had other highly recommended references who were also impressive with their presentations but not like Ranch. They explained everything from soup to nuts- exactly what they were going to do. They had examples of all major materials to compare to the industry "standard" which we found very impressive. They obviously were very confident in their work and reputations. Their estimate was right in the middle of a narrow range of estimates which we received from three other contractors as well. They actually started the job a few days earlier than anticipated because they had a last minute opening so we got it done faster than originally estimated. The job started ~ 1 month after we booked them. Upon completion (which was very fast- much faster than a similar job in our neighborhood which started on the same weekend), Bob came up for final inspection and was extremely pleasant to talk to. He even offered to take away some heavy, broken, old patio furniture from our backyard so we did not have to dispose of it ourselves. All around, Ranch was one of the best contractors in any field we have ever dealt with. Very highly recommended!!!

Original plan in December 2008 completely stymied by the terrible winter weather. When I recontacted them in March they stood by their original estimate including the Angie's List coupon (which they offered in December but were no longer offering in March). They helped us with shingle choice, including bringing us samples and giving us the addresses of comparable houses they had re-roofed. They were prompt, thorough, cleaned up well, respect our requests where to put dumpster. Pleasant to deal with. Prompt and responsive to minor items that needed attention the next day. A pleasure to deal with, would use them again and recommend them to others.

They were excellent and they did a great job. We went with them mostly because of the comments we saw on Angie?s List and partly because of their price. They were fast and punctual and their quality of work was great.

We had the Ranch Roofing folks come out to provide us an estimate for a series of repairs that need to be made. My husband had a detailed talk with the contractor, and they went over a bunch of work to be done. So far, we haven't even received an estimate for the job--AND the phone number on the business card appears to be the FAX machine, so we can't even follow up.

Our 120 year old four family house had a roof that was leaking in new spots every season. It was to the point where we - the four residents and owners - could no longer make the patches ourselves effectively. The house has two steep peaks that rise probably four stories high, and the roof has some other pretty crazy angles. From our first meeting with Ranch, they were the most professional contractors I've ever dealt with. They were confident, straigh forward and it was clear that they took pride in their work and their company. They explained everything in detail - why certain things would and wouldn't work, what they may find under our shingles, dismissed some fears we had - and I felt like we had a good idea of the range of possibilites for the project. Their estimate was not the lowest, but it was not so much higher that it took them out of the running either. From the time the project started through to it's end, the supervisor proactively communicated with me every morning and evening with status, I always knew when they were going to arrive, knew what they were working on, they were 100% polite, respectful of the residents and the property. The attention to clean up every day was mind blowing and so, so appreciated. The huge project was completed beautifully, quickly and professionally. I've never had such a great experience - I had no idea an experience with a contractor could ever go so well!

Bob and his crew were in and out very quickly. They were courteous and very efficient with the clean up (showed up in the early morning before an ominous rain storm!). Would definately recommend them!

It went very well the came on the day they said and worked fast and had the both roofs done in one day. Amazing really as I thought it would have taken two at least. The clean up was good as well considering the amount of debris that came off my roof. We had three layers and Ranch did not charge me extra as the original estimate was for two. This was real nice of them and I think this shows that this company will work with costumers on tight budgets like we had for this project. The only negative thing was the contractors they hired to do the carpentry did not do a good a job in their clean up as the roofers. This was very minor however and it amounted to a small area of debris that I had to clean up. They also missed one area of rot in one of the soffits, but I think this was an oversight on both parties, mine and theirs. The Gutter work was done well and fast and they even made an aluminum top for an area of the soffit I had trouble with squirrels. In all Ranch Renovations was professional and did everything in the contract and more. I'm a happy customer and would recommend them to anyone needed roofing work. One other great thing is they have a 15 year guarantee on the labor which means if anything they did fails they come back and fix it. Can't beat that.

They were quick to come out to look at the roof, and when the work was completed, they told me to be sure that the leak was fixed before sending in my payment. They did a great job the first time though, and we haven't had a bit of water since. I'd recommend them for their honesty and professionalism to anyone.
