Ranch Roofing

They came in with the best price with the best materials so they got the job done quick and they did it very well, and they were very helpful. They were on time, they did what they were supposed to do and they cleaned up fast, and they're on their way.

We had a very satisfying experience with this roofing company, owned by Bob O'Sullivan. My project was led by Ryan Demirgian who was professional, fair, kind, and extremely good at communicating throughout the process. The folks at Ranch want you to be happy with the job they do and they work very hard and accommodate any needs along the way. For example, we were having the house painted around the same time as the roof was being done and Ranch was willing to come back on a different day to finish the lower roofs, over bays and porches. It would have been easier for them to do the whole job in one day, but they agreed that this plan would be best for us and for the work being done on our house. When I contacted Ryan to schedule coming back to finish the lower roofs, he was responsive as usual and had the workers back over here in a very timely manner. I dealt with both the owner, Bob, and Ryan and can say they were both always courteous, conscientious, and a real pleasure to work with. Ranch Roofing pays great attention to detail and the roofing job performed was very well done. They also did a terrific job on clean-up. They are open and attentive to any customer input and I would give them the highest marks possible for the work they did and the way they handled the entire project.

Ranch Roofing replaced gutters, downspouts and repaired roof/attic soffits. They were able to repair and reuse a couple of our gutters, after which they painted them to match the new gutters. They were thorough, prompt and came in under quote. The rationale for the B rating on responsiveness is that there was a delay in the initial call back and the work started a day or two later than planned. Something I really liked is that the initial visit/quote was done with owner, then a day or two after the work was complete, he came and did a walk around with me to review the work and the cleanup. We would gladly use Ranch Roofing again.

Ryan and his work crew installed Grace ice dam shield on a low pich section of the roof. They installed rubber roofing in this area and raised the two sky lights. This was done to remedy some ice dame problems. They also did some additional work on the roof and chimney. Very good work quality and the did a good clean up job. The work was done in a timely manner and Ryan did a great job supervising all of the work. He made some great suggestions.

Overall I was very happy with the experience, which didn't surprise me given all the positive reviews Ranch Roofing has received. There was a bit of phone tag and back-and-forth in the beginning to get us on the schedule, but I sort of expected that given how busy they are. We first met with John, who was very pleasant to speak with, and explained everything thoroughly to us. He gave us an estimate on the spot and a few weeks later Bob and his crew showed up to do the work. They were very efficient... in and out in one day, and they did a fantastic job. They also did a great job of cleaning up. The roof used to leak every time we had a decent rain, and so far no more leaks! We are very happy with the experience and would not hesitate to hire them again for future work.

I did not contract with this company

Ranch was among several roofers that came to give estimates. They gave a very compelling presentation to justify their higher price, based on not cutting corners. Once we signed on the dotted line, they gave us a day and showed up that day with their crew. They did all the work in about five hours, but did not put the leaf covers on the gutters. I called and they came right back the next day to put on the covers. They did knock over a little piece of wooden fence in the back yard, but generally seemed to do a very good job. After some big problems with ice dams, we've had no problems during the last two years.

Very well. Showed up on time. Finished all roof work in one day.Carpenters finished their work on schedule. Work was inspected by both supervisor and owner of company.

High estimate. Did not use their services

We got a few estimates to get a new roof on our house. The roof was nearing 20 years old, and developed some moss on the north facing side. It was clear that it was time for a new roof. The first estimate we had was from a door to door "National Brand", which the cost was shocking. We had a very rough idea of expected cost, but we wisely were not going to sign up for anything without multiple estimates, no matter how much pressure the guy was placing. The price we received was outrageous. Then we called Ranch Roofing based on feedback from Angie's List. Within a couple of days the estimator came to the house, did some measurements, and had very quick and to the point discussion of what what would be done. The estimate came in at nearly half of the original estimate. Not only was the price reasonable, working with the estimator was such a reassuring experience. Agreeing upon the cost, they were able to be flexible with scheduling the work. We have a 2 year old in daycare 2 days a week, and we were able to schedule the work for one of those days. They showed up on time early in the a.m., and estimated it would be done by 3 pm. I met some of the workers who were very professional, and they quickly did the job. They covered the ground with tarp to catch nails and shingles. Since it was March, there was still snow on the ground, and some of the debris was buried. I was so impressed when a week later they called me and were bringing people back to clean up any remaining debris since the snow melted. Such a great job. We were very happy with Ranch Roofing and highly recommend them.

I have not heard back from the company. I was very interested in using them based upon the reviews but due to no response, will not use them. Even a phone call saying sorry but we are too busy would have been acceptable. Update: Bob the owner came out, performed a roof inspection and discovered that only one roof shingle needed replacement. He offered to send someone out within the next day to replace it free of charge. He also was very professional and knowledgable in regards to discussing future options for the roof in regards to solar paneling and ice dams. We will definitely consider using Ranch Roofing in the future.

After calling on several Angie's List skylight contractors we picked Bob and Ranch Roofing because of his reputation on Angies List, and because when he came to meet me in person he came across as very competent and responsible, and willing to work with me on what I needed on this project. (Beyond just replacement of the skylight I needed a small portion of the ceiling underneath the skylight redrywalled. He was able to give me a price for the entire job within a day of coming to the house. The work was performed on time, and we were very happy with the quality of the work done. The project took two days, Bob stopped in both days to make sure everything was going according to plan, and to make sure I was satisfied with the work. The skylights look great and I do recommend him to anyone in need of skylight work.

After multiple emails and phone calls promising to provide an estimate from their office people, I never received an estimate. The time spent on this, including time taken off work, was wasted. ----UPDATE: Within a day after I wrote this review, I received a call sincerely apologizing. I then received a detailed written estimate the following day. I have substantially upgraded professionalism, responsiveness, and punctuality at this time from the original experience.

This was a great experience. They did a great job.

Bob and his team did an excellent job. His pricing was very clear, compared to some of the others. All of his workers were very professional and worked well. They were very careful to keep the site clean, and worked quickly and efficiently. When there were bumps in the road, they were quick to correct them (for example, the insulation worked so well that the top floor lights were getting too hot and were flickering, so he got his electrician to upgrade the lights and correct the problem). On top of the professionalism, I really enjoyed interacting with Bob - he was really a pleasant person to work with, and he definitely seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were satisfied with the entire job. We have been very happy with the results... no more leaks! And a much tighter building! Thanks Bob.

Work was done in 4 hours, clean up was spotless, and we are pleased.

Inititial glitch w first call not returned (possibly not received), BUT with second call absolutely superlative followups, service and work. Could not have been better. One of best contractors I've ever used (and I've used many over 50 years). Absolutely recommend in strongest possible terms with no reservations. Fair price and top quality. These guys set the standard.

I am writing now, 2 years later, to report that after the 24" of snow we received a couple of weeks ago, we did not have a single ice dam or icicle anywhere-- quite a change from our previous roof. This roof work was done in the spring following a severe winter, and Bob O'Sullivan was determined to apply the lessons that had been learned (the hard way) by homeowners throughout the area. He went well beyond accepted industry practice and gave us a well-ventilated attic while carefully spreading the existing blown-in insulation, which prevented the ice dams.

Great quality, great service and Bob stands behind his work. Bob and his crew were very responsive, performed all of the agreed upon work in a timely fashion and the quality of work was excellent. Furthermore, their price was competitive and reasonable. More importantly, Bob has helped us out twice now over the last two years to make necessary repairs. The first repair was the result of Hurricane Sandy and the second was the result of some faulty work that was performed by a contractor (who we didn't vet first on Angie's list). In both cases, Bob remembered us, even after two years, and was very responsive to to our needs. I cannot say enough good things about Bob and Ranch Roofing. If you are looking for a business that stands behind their work, does great quality work and is there for you when you need them, then Ranch Roofing is for you.

Great response time. Estimate same day, and they held true to price - on the more expensive side but worth it in quality. Inclement weather made the actual scheduling difficult, but when we penciled in a date, the crew was on-time and efficient. The operation was very professional, and the head of the project gave me an extensive explanation and education on flat roofing. The guarantees on future problems are basically all inclusive, and the company owner reached out to me directly as well. The people and quality were excellent.

They were very prompt and responsive in a time where we could barely get a call back from almost every other roofing company that we called because they were so busy due to the storm. They also do gutters and seem like they have good experience in terms of doing them, but they haven't done ours yet although we might have them out to do them in the future.

We were overly impressed by Ranch Roofing. The came out and provided us an estimate and details on the materials they use, why they're superior and fair pricing (we had received other pricing). The job included removal of two layers of shingles and some plywood replacement from two leaking locations. Simply put, Ranch went above and beyond. We had forgot to scope the small well roof in our front yard, and they did that at no extra charge. They ended up replacing more plywood than had been anticipated, cut in ridge ventilation and event went so far as to replace a couple sheets of moldy drywall in our sun room from one of the leaks (again, not factored into the pricing). Finally, they had identified holes in my siding that needed replacement and could lead to water damage. When I went to patch the holes after they left, I found they had already taken care of it. I would absolutely recommend Ranch. No need for negotiation, the pricing was a steal for the job they did, leaving NOTHING unfinished and a watertight house at the end of the day, plain and simple. Oh, and they came back the next day to rake out the flower beds as they finished when it was dark out which made it challenging to identify every last piece of dark grey shingle...awesome clean up effort!

I would rate experience at 9 out of 10.

John Cataldo came out to provide us with an estimate. He measured our roof and then gave a very comprehensive presentation regarding their method, the materials they use in their work and why. It was the most detailed and knowledgeable presentation we had received from any of the four roofing companies we interviewed. After we hired them, they gave us a date and time. They showed up on time and worked like a roofing SWAT team. It was amazing. There was a huge amount of debris - our roof had two layers. Several planks on our roof sheathing needed replacement, a large chimney needed to be re-leaded, and we needed three ridge vents installed. They accomplished all of this and did an impressive clean-up all in one day. Ryan and his team were professional, fast and good-natured. We put a lot of work into finding Ranch Roofing. They were not the least expensive but worth every penny! Hire them!

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had with major house repairs. Ranch Roofing was professional, courteous, diligent, and did wonderful work. They took extra care to clean my neighbor's yard 3 times during the demolition day, and 2 times again when they were finished replacing the roofing. I can't say enough about these folks. They didn't even damage the plants we had in and about the yard, which is more than I can say for the landscapers who've taken out multiple seedums and an oriental lily. ;-) There was a supervisor present for almost all of the job, and they were available by phone real-time throughout. They even managed to do the work ahead of schedule, because they had an opening. I can't say enough about this company. All the materials were high-quality. They gave us a book from which we could select roofing tiles, and enough information to make a choice in materials with confidence. The vents they installed are working great, and we've sure had more than enough rain now to be sure that the work is holding up perfectly. When we can afford siding, we'll be sure and get the work done by Ranch Roofing! Ranch Roofing made our experience terrific, and ensured that this investment in the house was a pleasant one, that yields value now and well into the future.
