PAINTING BY JAMES

It was a great experience. James was very responsive and always on time. He returned calls promptly, and did a great job keeping the work area neat. The quality of his work was very good, and he was also patient with a change in color selections.

Of the people I called for estimates, James was the best about answering his phone, returning calls, and showing up when he said he was going to. He offered references. He explained what he was going to do and described a thorough job (sanding, 2 coats of paint). His prices were surprisingly low compared with other estimates. When we decided to hire him, he brought by a contract and was able to start immediately (that and the low prices both surprised me). He started work a day or two after we signed the contract. He had 1 assistant. As far as I can tell, he did a good and thorough job, though he did have some odd ideas about cutting corners (e.g. skipping the bit that was sheltered by the porch and thus not peeling like the rest of the wall). I was out of town when he finished, but from what the downstairs neighbors tell me, he seems to have finished promptly and without any issues arising. He was polite and friendly and answered questions in a way that was easy to understand.

Great! He showed up on time, was efficient, friendly and skilled.
