They were very professional and the work was done in less time then they estimated.

I first called Macaulay's House of Vacuum's in Melrose was told that it would cost $6 to get a new plug. I happen to drive by Oreck of Arlington at least a couple times a week, so I decided to bring my vacuum there. I figured that even if it cost twice as much, it was worth the convenience. When I first went in the shop, the man behind the counter was on a casual personal call and did not even acknowledge me. When he ended the call I told him what I needed. Unfortunately, I did not ask the cost because I figured it couldn't be too much more than $10 (I had also been told by a friend with a cleaning business to expect to pay around that much). They replaced the plug, and when I picked up the vacuum cleaner I was told the cost was $40.00. I was in shock and just paid it. I called afterward to say that I thought the price was unreasonable. I asked to speak with the owner, but was told he is rarely in. I have left two messages for the owner to call me, but have received no response.
