Ed and his team were fabulous throughout the whole process. They were polite, easy to communicate with and responsive. They were very clean and respectful and the work went smoothly. On time and on budget and any issues that came up were clearly shared. We are very happy with the end result and would recommend highly. We will use them again should another house project come up.

I honestly could not imagine it going any better. Ed and his crew are highly professional and the project came in on budget and within the margin for timely completion. Ed is unflappable and the client's happiness is truly his only objective.

Shawn, the foreman, was my contact from estimate to completion. The work was done well, and there was only a slight delay in completion. Each person I spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable.

Our Victorian house built in 1913 had ice dams in the winter and leaking into some of the windows, plus a large, open area in front of the house under the roof where boards had rotted. We had called other contractors, but they were not responsive. Ed McDonald came out to give us an estimate right after I called. He scheduled the work for a time that was most convenient for us, and kept in touch by email while the work was being done, explaining everything and updating us about any problems encountered - such as the fact that many of the rafters were rotted and needed their tail ends replaced. He and his crew were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, a pleasure to have around. The crew worked hard, with care and precision, coming even on Saturdays, and regularly cleaning up the site. They did a beautiful job and the house looks so much better. We feel very reassured that we will not have further leaks. We are happy with the work done and impressed by the professionalism of Ed and his crew. We are so glad to have found McDonald Contracting.
