tI dealt with Ralph Deprimeo. They came on time, did what I at first thought was a very nice job on the driveway. They tore up the old one, laid down two levels of stone and then paved it over. While they were doing this they fixed some loose stones in our french drain. They moved our walkway out from the house and repositioned the flagstone pavers as well as adding a few more in order to fill the voids. They also removed some large bushes from the front of the house at no additional cost. I was happy at the time. They were also the low bidder by a very small amount with another company but I had seen good reviews on the web as well as an unsolicited comment from a passerby who had used them and liked them.
Here's where it went wrong. When it rained I noticed a standing puddle about two feet by three feet near the front of the driveway. I called them and Ralph came and tried to fix it but wound up not making it any better. Its still there. This ices over in winter and creates a slick spot. Then one of the sidewalk pavers they put in was the wrong height and when I used a snowblower on the path it chipped the stone which was too high. Another paver has now shifted out of alignment. The final problem was this: His crew showed up recommending putting a coating onto the driveway to protect it further. I agreed and they put on the coating. The weather looked iffy but the foreman said it wouldn't be a problem. Later on that day it rained, and the coating they put on splashed up onto my garage door and frame which prior to that had been pristine. I called them and they said they would come and clean it but didn't. At this point I was tired of calling them to come make corrections and let it go.
I think they were inherently nice people to deal with, but just not careful enough. I'm sorry to give them a negative review but I  wouldn't hire them again.

DID JOB IN 4 1/2 HRS. BEGAN WORK AT 7:00 AM, JUST AS PROMISED, AND WERE AS QUIET AS POSSIBLE UNTIL THEY HAD TO USE THEIR EQUIPMENT. THEY DID A THOROUGH JOB PREPARING THE DRIVEWAY BED. EQUALLY IMPORTANT, THEY WERE VERY NICE TO MY 4 YR OLD BOY.
