.   When Mr. Gomes comes to your house to quote a price he is very nice, but once he has his money it changes. His workers are rude also.

This contractor made contact with us while he was working with on a neighbor's house.  He noticed we were considering some work and offered his company's service.  At first, everything sounded great.  We described the gist of what we wanted to have done and he seemed very confident that he could do it within our budget and on time.  
The quote took a few days to come in and we needed to call a couple times to get that moving.  Once we agreed on the quote the work was started the next day, which was great.  The asphalt and fence were removed promptly, though some patio stones were damaged and/or made loose during the process.  The damage was later fixed, though a proper mason would have done the cement work better.  Within a month several sections have cracked and chipped.  
Over the next several weeks the work was completed, though we ran into several difficulties working with this company.

1. The owner and main contractor, Eric, was not responsive at all to our emails and was often difficult to get a hold of on the phone.
2. They were not very organized and did not provide us with a timeline or any plan of when they were going to come and what they were going to do.
3. Another contractor we got a quote from indicated the project would take ~3 full days to complete and they would get it done in less than 5 continous business days.  This company took ~ 1month to get the work done.
4. The retaining wall was installed poorly.  It is not level and the stones have large gaps where soil can escape over time.  The contractor did not rectify either of these issues when told about them.
5. One section of the asphalt (their specialty) was supposed to be cut at a right angle and the line was supposed to be straight.  The cut line was not straight and was not fixed.
6. During conversations on-site, Eric would say that he would do x, y , and z and it would look great.  We thus assumed he was going to do x, y, and z as part of the project.  At the point where we realized those things were't being done, we asked and we were told that those things would cost extra.
7. Generally was not clear with us about what would happen, when it would happen, how it would look, or if it would cost extra.

I wouldn't recommend this contractor to do anything other than simple asphalt installation and repair.
