My windows certainly look much
better than they did, and for that I am happy. But I wanted to report a
few problems so that you can address them in future
jobs.
Poor Quality Window Cleaning; Smudges Remain
First, the windows that were cleaned are far from really clean. Many of
them continue to have spots and smudges. When I did the final inspection
with Gregory, I found numerous windows with such problems. One, which
was in a particularly prominent place and
would surely have attracted notice, I asked him to redo. He redid the
original process -- of using what appeared to be soapy water and a
squeegee -- but it made no difference. The spots and smudges were still
there. Because the crew used only that one-time
process, and did not check for tough spots and smudges and try to
remove them (with a brush or another tool), it left the spots on many
windows. It was obvious that it made no sense to ask them to redo the
windows with spots and smudges, since their technique
was not adequate to remove them. I'm very surprised to discover that a
professional window cleaning company does a poorer job of cleaning
windows that I would do myself with Windex and paper towels. So I
remain a rather dissatisfied customer on the main
issue of whether the work was done well.
Plants Damaged/Destroyed
The second problem is the guys (or at least one, the one who joined the
original crew of 2 later in the day) seem to have failed to notice my
gardens. A hosta garden I just put in a few weeks ago was trampled,
with one plant totally destroyed and another mangled,
with about 7 shoots torn off. The worker responsible apologized --
which I appreciate -- but that does not bring my plants back to life.
I am attaching photos of the two plants that were destroyed or badly
damaged. In the photo with the dark green leaves, you can see the boot
print to the right. I paid the $990 I agreed to, but I would appreciate
your compensating me for the damaged plants.
Last night I had to go back to Home Depot and get two new plants and
replant the garden. I attach a photo showing the $12.98 price per
plant.
Poor Work Ethic
Also, I was disappointed in the work attitude or work ethic of the crew
you sent. They guys did not seem to care whether their work was of high
quality or not. After an hour or so into the job, I checked and found
the window sills covered with loose dirt.
I brought that their attention. After the inside windows were
finished, the invited me to check all the window sills. I did, and
still found some that were quite dirty. (Gregory suggested that Orion
was not wiping the sills.) Instead of expecting the customer
to find problems, the work crew should take responsibility for doing
quality work and impressing the customer with their good work. These
guys had a very lackadaisical attitude toward their work. Given that, I
felt it would be fruitless to ask them to redo
any of the windows or sills. I've actually never had a work crew of
any kind working on my property that had such a poor attitude toward the
job they did. I am quite disappointed.
That's the end of the email. It's hard to believe that a business owner who wants customers would fail to respond to my message. I would not recommend this company at all.
"Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to write a wonderful review for us."

"Thank you for taking the time to write a review."
"Thank You for taking the time to right a review, it is greatly appreciated."
I had used them last year and found their work satisfactory. Only this year did I realize that Fish is a huge company with many different franchises in this area. My town is "assigned" to this particular franchise, which I would not want to deal with again.
"Thank You for taking the time to write a review. We really appreciate it. If the is anything you need in the future please do not hesitate to give us a call. Again Thank you"

"Thank you [member name removed] for your feed back. We really appreceiate it and try to improve on any points that you were not satisfied with. Again thank you for taking the time to provide the feed back."
The exterior was finished when I arrived and they went right to work on the interior.
They were done in no time and the windows were the cleaner than when the house was new
