I hired Fish Window Cleaning to clean 20 windows and 3 glass doors in my 3-story condo. Ralph and Cade showed up on time and did an AWESOME job of thoroughly cleaning all of the windows, glass doors, and associated screens and sills, for an extremely reasonable price (about $10 per window).. Ralph and Cade also fixed a number of issues that came up during their visit. Several of the windows were difficult to remove because of a defective part that the original installer had never called to my attention when I had the windows replaced several years ago. Ralph identified the cause of the problem and explained what was needed to replace a small bent part. He was also able to troubleshoot a different window that wouldn't stay open and fixed that as well. And re-attach a blind that had fallen down when I was raising all of the blinds before they arrived. I would definitely hire Ralph and Cade again and can't recommend their work highly enough. They are knowledgeable, willing to go the extra distance to ensure a good result, and a pleasure to work with.

I feel like I have a whole new view of the world! I had 5 years (I hate to admit it) of grime on the outside of my windows, and they are the old, non-tilting ones too. So the job was tricky in my book. I had told the scheduler that I was on the 3rd floor and that my windows would likely need some TLC due to bad residue on the outside, but the men did not have a ladder when they arrived (I think there must have been a miscommunication). They figured it out though. I had to ask them to do two rounds since the first round did not get them completely clean due to the residue. They had to get a different solution from their truck and do another round, but they did so with no complaints. They were very courteous and professional and creative problem solvers. My windows are crystal clear now. I would hire Fish again.

It was very good.  It was excellent.  I had no problem with them and whatsoever.  They did what they had to do.  They're very efficient.  They had some type of covering their shoes and it was good.  I enjoyed it.

$990
Fish Window Cleaning had promised to send a crew of about 4 people, to arrive at my home early in the morning - around 7:30 or 8:00.  Two young men arrived around 9:00.  I have a large home with many windows (contemporary in style, so not that hard to clean), and it was a big job. Around noontime a third person joined them. I was very dissatisfied with the work. And the price was exorbitant -- $990 to wash the windows on one house.   Here is the email I sent Ed Hiller, the boss, the next day.  He has still not answered - three days later.
My windows certainly look much
better than they did, and for that I am happy.  But I wanted to report a
few problems so that you can address them in future
jobs.
Poor Quality Window Cleaning; Smudges Remain
First, the windows that were cleaned are far from really clean. Many of
them continue to have spots and smudges. When I did the final inspection
with Gregory, I found numerous windows with such problems.  One, which
was in a particularly prominent place and
would surely have attracted notice, I asked him to redo.  He redid the
original process -- of using what appeared to be soapy water and a
squeegee -- but it made no difference. The spots and smudges were still
there.  Because the crew used only that one-time
process, and did not check for tough spots and smudges and try to
remove them (with a brush or another tool), it left the spots on many
windows.  It was obvious that it made no sense to ask them to redo the
windows with spots and smudges, since their technique
was not adequate to remove them.   I'm very surprised to discover that a
professional window cleaning company does a poorer job of cleaning
windows that I would do myself with Windex and paper towels.  So I
remain a rather dissatisfied customer on the main
issue of whether the work was done well.
Plants Damaged/Destroyed
The second problem is the guys (or at least one, the one who joined the
original crew of 2 later in the day) seem to have failed to notice my
gardens.  A hosta garden I just put in a few weeks ago was trampled,
with one plant totally destroyed and another mangled,
with about 7 shoots torn off.  The worker responsible apologized --
which I appreciate -- but that does not bring my plants back to life.
I am attaching photos of the two plants that were destroyed or badly
damaged. In the photo with the dark green leaves, you can see the boot
print to the right. I paid the $990 I agreed to, but I would appreciate
your compensating me for the damaged plants.
Last night I had to go back to Home Depot and get two new plants and
replant the garden.  I attach a photo showing the $12.98 price per
plant.
Poor Work Ethic
Also, I was disappointed in the work attitude or work ethic of the crew
you sent.  They guys did not seem to care whether their work was of high
quality or not.  After an hour or so into the job, I checked and found
the window sills covered with loose dirt.
I brought that their attention.  After the inside windows were
finished, the invited me to check all the window sills.  I did, and
still found some that were quite dirty. (Gregory suggested that Orion
was not wiping the sills.)  Instead of expecting the customer
to find problems, the work crew should take responsibility for doing
quality work and impressing the customer with their good work.  These
guys had a very lackadaisical attitude toward their work. Given that, I
felt it would be fruitless to ask them to redo
any of the windows or sills.  I've actually never had a work crew of
any kind working on my property that had such a poor attitude toward the
job they did. I am quite disappointed.
That's the end of the email.  It's hard to believe that a business owner who wants customers would fail to respond to my message.  I would not recommend this company at all.

Tried to change the appointment time at the last minute because of another customer-the fellows who did the work were very nice, but failed to return a screen company was repairing (not their fault). It is a lot of money for windex and paper towels,, but little alternatives.

Crew was professional and friendly.  Cleaning job was just OK.  It was overcast on the day of the cleaning and I thought it looked ok when they left.  First sunny day after I noticed lots of streaking and smudging on the windows - primarily inside (which I guess is easy enough for me to correct myself).

Greg and Chad were great.  Right on time, very thorough and got every everyone window even the very difficult to reach ones.  They were clean and were very careful inside the house in terms of furniture, ladder placement and covering their shoes with cloth.

Came on time, very pleasant 2 man crew, were in and out quickly (2 hours). The next day when the sunlight hit some of the windows in a different way I could see streaks on the exteriors of some windows. They were to wipe out sills and some were missed or not completely cleaned. These I easily fixed myself but shows they were moving a little too fast. Other companies I've used in the past cost 1/3 less and didn't require me to move furniture or remove screens myself before and after their work.

I wanted the work done as late in the fall as possible, because the leaves on the trees around our house don't come down until late. They were accommodating about scheduling and were supposed to come on 11/25. When they did not show up I called and got no response. Eventually someone called back and they came a week later, which was annoying but fortunately not a serious problem. They told me the job would take an hour to an hour and a half, but were done and gone in about a half hour. I have no idea why it was so much quicker than they expected, but $99 is a lot to pay for a half hour of work. It is not really possible to know how good a job they did without going up a ladder, so I cannot be sure of the quality of their work.  They did leave a rubber glove on the ground at the front of the house, which was fairly unappealing.
I had used them last year and found their work satisfactory. Only this year did I realize that Fish is a huge company with many different franchises in this area. My town is "assigned" to this particular franchise, which I would not want to deal with again.

I first contacted the company to inquire about price. I was told that there are individual franchises and I would be contacted by someone in my area to schedule an estimate. Within one day the owner called and came out and provided me with a detailed estimate, brochure describing their services, and a copy of their certificate of professional liability insurance. I was impressed at the promptness of their response. I decided to hire them (mostly based on reviews I've read here). I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to send a crew out the next day as they had a cancellation in their schedule and I could accommodate the time. Two workers showed up the next afternoon. They were polite, professional and courteous. They went through the whole house in about 2 hours. It was a fairly easy job as we have all tilt in windows. At the end of the job all of the windows appeared to look great. I paid my bill and even tipped the two workers. My only complaint was that I never was asked to do a walk through with them upon completion to be sure the job met my satisfaction. When my husband arrived home from work he pointed out several windows that were still streaky and smudged. Because I did not walk through with them prior to their leaving I did not see them. I did receive a follow up Thank You in the mail for doing business and was asked to fill out a questionnaire. I did so, and returned it with my honest opinions. I said I was 90% satisfied. I promptly got a call from the owner after he received my survey. He was concerned and said that he wanted me to be 100% satisfied. He offered to send the workers back to touch up or correct any areas that were missed. I told him that my housekeepers had already taken care of it. He apologized and thanked me for my feedback and intended to speak with the workers about not doing a walk through with me as it was supposed to be. All in all it was a very positive experience. the house was kept clean, everything that was moved was put back into place and the workers were very conscientious about their duties. I have had window cleaners in the past for half the price, but the job reflected it. So when paying top dollar for the work I expect close to perfection. I would definitely hire them again, but I would be sure the job was done to my complete satisfaction before they left.

There were 3 fellows that came today and they were done in 45 minutes and were careful of the things I asked for caution on. They cleaned the screens as well and even vacuumed inside the window sill! They were great!

These guys were great!  They did an amazing job of cleaning some seriously dirty windows and making them sparkle and shine.  The only complaint I had was more of a miscommunication about what time they were supposed to arrive.  I understood that they were coming at 10 am, but they thought they told me that they would be there between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.  Once they arrived, I was able to leave them to go back to work while they did all of the cleaning, and then they called me to give me notice when they were finishing so I could come back and pay them.  I wish I had hired them long-ago and not just before selling my place!

They called and asked if they could come earlier than scheduled.
The exterior was finished when I arrived and they went right to work on the interior.
They were done in no time and the windows were the cleaner than when the house was new
