My bike had been sitting in my basement for several years. I wanted to get it fixed up so I could ride it and knew it needed a tune-up. I also figured it probably needed new tires and inner tubes as they were 1. 10 years old and 2. completely deflated (after having been re-inflated relatively recently). I telephoned The Bike Stop and said in addition to a tune-up and probable new tires I also wanted a new basket and the handlebars adjusted so I didn't have to lean forward so much and could sit more upright. When I brought the bike in they said the tires were fine but I might need new tubes and took note of the other things I had asked for. My bike was ready earlier than they had said to expect and what I really appreciated was that they said the tires and tubes were fine and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need; frankly I wouldn't have known the difference. I also got the new basket and the handlebars were adjusted as I had asked. They had me take it for a spin around the parking lot to check the position of the seat and handlebars. I settled my bill and rode off but noticed a rubbing sound once I got on the bike path which hadn't presented when I was riding around the parking lot. I took it back and they adjusted a screw right away (apologizing profusely) and I rode silently off.
