This is about as unfancy a shop as you can get -- no real waiting room, one chair, no wifi, no donuts, etc -- but they're very competent, fair, and honest. Really, that's what you need. Highly recommended.

I feel I'm lucky to have them across the street from me and rarely go to a SAAB specialist anymore.

Everyone at the Clinic is great, they were polite and helpful from the moment we dropped the car off making sure they understood exactly what I was talking about. I loved that they contacted me anytime the estimate changed and always had the job done on time.

I have used their services for three cars over six years. I like them because they will never suggest work that is not needed. I can drop of a car and say it makes noise and they will repair only what is necessary. I have had service for two Hondas, and a Prius (brakes). They are trustworthy, honest, and capable.

They do not answer their phone, not even with voicemail, and they don't respond to e-mail.

Their prices were very reasonable and they were very thorough. They did a wonderful job. There was no wait time, and I was very pleased.

I had an issue with my car and I went to a dealer and they wanted to rebuild the engine entirely and charge thousands of dollars, I went to the Auto Clinic and they fixed it for a thousand dollars. They didn't rebuild the engine, they just replaced a part. Then it was perfectly fine, it's an old car anyway. It's a perfectly good mechanic, sometimes they use third party parts, it's often cheaper and it's an old car so what's the big deal. I think it's a very good value for the money. They repair all kinds of cars and it's a perfectly fine place. If you have an older car and you don't need a dealer for it then they are fine. They are fairly quickly, you get your day back within a couple of hours or a day or two.

In addition to the service, they found issues with my brakes and tires as well. They were very good about calling with an estimate and giving options. I'll definitely go back.

They diagnosed the problem without an appointment, but it was difficult to reach Carol to schedule an actual appointment. Once I got in, the service was fast and affordable.

Brake light was on due to leaky brake calipers, which had been recently replaced at another shop. Arlington Auto said the calipers looked new, and told me to ask if they were under warranty at the other shop. They were, and the other shop fixed the leak. I would definitely use Arlington Auto again.

It is a small shop where you get good attentive service.

They are very responsive and knowledgeable. They are extraordinarily economical when it comes to repairs and never do anything that is not necessary.

I impressed with the positive comments that was on Angie's List. I think that the location and hours are convenient. They were able to do the work in 4 hours. They called me when the work was done. They gave helpful information.

I brought the car in because of a loud buzzing coming from the floor of the car on the highway. I was convinced it was an exhaust problem and was going to cost me BIG money. I also thought that my (manual) transmission was going because the car would jerk violently back and forth when I put it in some gears, and that was going to cost me even BIGGER money. I WAS WRONG. Bob correctly diagnosed the first problem as a broken bearing, and fixed it for a fine price. He diagnosed the second problem and suggested I get a tune-up. Which I will, soon. I will also get my water pump and timing belts replaced from these guys to make car new again. They gave me detailed quotes for all future work I want to get done, and even a separate quote if I just want to change spark plugs and wires instead of the whole tuneup (which will be MUCH cheaper). They were very punctual, very courteous, answered all my questions. This is a place I would send my wife, mother, and sisters to and sleep well at night!

I live across the street from this auto shop and therefore it is very convenient for me to use them. When I had a shock that had worn down so bad that it was compressing all the way and knocking against the metal housing, they showed me exactly what was happening. Claire then called around 5 different parts suppliers to find me the best deal for the parts required, and she did this all in front of me taking notes so that she could show me the parts costs. I'm not sure if they are the least expensive, but generally speaking, you get what you pay for. I only use 2-3 shops in the Boston area for my Volvo S60, and this is one of them.

I found Carole very clear and easy to deal with. The service was exactly what I was hoping for, we will certainly use them again. In general, below I say "more than my money's worth" because it is invaluable to find a good mechanic!

I called for an appointment and got one for the next day. A few hours after dropping off my car, they called to report on the situation, and gave me a price estimate. They called a few hours later (earlier than expected) to let me know my car was ready. Very friendly over the phone and in person, which is good because I don't know a lot about cars. The price seemed lower than expected, and came out to be slightly lower than the quote. The initial appearance of the garage was a bit intimidating, but in the end I felt very comfortable. I will be going back.

The screeching turned out to be the power steering unit starving for fluid due to a leak in the high pressure power steering hose. The thermostat was gone which caused the heat problem. The service was excellent, communication was good. Best experience I have had in a long time.

Selection based on other Angie's List reviews and location. If you're doing night drop, know that the drop slot is just an unmarked slit in a garage door - no envelopes or pen or anything. I had never been before and was a little wary of the place at nighttime. It's a little hard to spot. However, $412 for all that work is extremely reasonable and Richard (mechanic) seems like a very nice guy. His office help was out that day, so he just took my name and address and sent me an invoice. Very trusting. I just got the car back this week, and the brakes do feel a lot smoother so far.

We use this company for our Toyota and our Subaru to be honest. They are cheaper than dealerships, very nice, close to our house. Usually the car is ready when they promise it will be. I don t feel I am ever overcharged like I do at dealerships. They are honest. They tell me what I need to know. It is not a classy place with a large screen TV. It is a hole in the wall, but they're great.

They were done so quickly and I would recommend them to other people any time. They did a great job and we are pleased with them. They were hard working and honest about everything. They didn t try to do extra work that was not necessary.

They repaired it right away and everything went o.k. I am very happy with them and I learned that I should drive more carefully in the snow. I do not remember what I paid; I think it was just a few 100 dollars or something. I am not totally sure, but, it was worth it.
