zero stars said they were coming for a soil sample, they never took sample and dumped a bunch of fertilizer which completely burnt the whole new yard, we cancelled service and had to reloom and seed our yard again ..... WELL THE SHOWED UP AGAIN!!!! did the same thing on the 6 day old lawn. absolute waste of money!!!! dont use them unless you want to pay a fortune and have to redo your yard. still waiting for money back

TruGreen has ruined our lawn and they do not care! The fertilizer has burnt it, tried to get a Manager to come to our home, the kid who showed up on 6/29 openly admitted he knows nothing about lawn care. Our lawn is trashed by TruGreen!

The whole process from getting a quote to getting someone to show up at my house was a nightmare. The departments at Trugreen do not communicate to eachother. Things as simple as changing from a standard lawn program to a "natural" one became multidepartmental weeks long processes. Scheduling was the same thing. I'd call to schedule and would speak to a rep who would tell me someone will get back to me in 3 business days. It never happened. I got one treatment done (which was delayed several times) and I was not able to be on site for. After trying to schedule an aeration and seeding for 2 weeks I cancelled the whole program. What a clusterf*%k of a company.

The service was good.

They stand behind their work, they have a good price and it worked well.

Treatments went as scheduled up until this year when the system fell apart. The results were acceptable but not fantastic up until then. Several times I was informed by the mobile app that treatments were upcoming but the dates and times kept changing until nobody showed up. I contacted customer assistance which apologized profusely and promised a new date and time which once again didn't happen. I was assured several times that the date was "locked in" but that didn't help. You can't reach the local office. Everything is through an out of state call center. Find a local company, that's what I'm going to do. STAY AWAY FROM TRUGREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know the cost; it depended on the service. I haven't compared them to anyone else. They were good. They were good on responsiveness.

I will use them again. I went with them because of my neighbor, his yard looks nice. They showed up on time. Very professional, they have great internal communication amongst all the moving pieces.

We have an annual contract on that. As far as the lawn is concerned  I can't say that the results are you know excellent I would not say that but I'd say they are fairly good. This year unfortunately our front lawn actually turned brown on us but I think the main reason was because we have severe drought in our area.

They are not professional. I requested a courtesy call before each application so that I can prepare the lawn for service (mow, bag leaves, etc). The technician always came without notice.
I used them for over-seeding and aeration in fall. They came without notice, and applied the over-seeding over the yard completely covered with fallen leaves. They guaranteed the service, but the lawn has deteriorated since I started using their service. They have not controlled the weeds, and there are more patches with no grass (even with their overseeding service guarantee). Their standard reply is "wait till next year to see the effect", and "you are getting a great deal".
Well, I waited two years, and I cancelled the service in the fall of 2015. A sales rep called me, apologized for the service and asked me to give them a second chance for half the price for the remainder of the year on a per call basis. They performed the first application at half the price. But they came the second time without notice and charged me full price. I called the office to resolve the issue and offered to pay the half price at the same time. They said they would call me back. They did not call back, but I got a letter from the Collection Agency. It is very unprofessional to use Collection Agency for a past due of only 53 days for a old customer with an unresolved issue without informing the customer.
A sales rep enrolled me in their service in 2013, and every year they increased the price stating that "you were getting a great deal", and they have to increase the price for the size of my lawn. The company does not honor what the sales rep promised. Do not buy what the sales rep tries to sell you.

Initial interaction was okay..their service to sell you was good...signed up for their service in the fall of 2014.  The initial "evaluation" with their tech was a walk through of the lawn and explanation.  he treated and explained that any questions or requests should call the 800#, but he said "good luck" getting a hold of anyone in the local office...all calls go to a call center.
aeration and overseeding was questionable...no plugs in the lawn.
in the spring, had to call for them to start, even though i had signed up for a full annual cycle.  then they decided not to come b/c they lost my credit card info and didn't show b/c of non-payment.  they didn't even call to resolve or just ask to be paid.  i had given them my credit card to charge every month so i didn't have to worry about it, but i guess i have to check them on their paperwork.
any cause, lawn is ruined now that they didn't treat for grubs and weeds because they wouldn't help the customer or try to work things out for a $39 payment they.
would use them if they had good customer service, but all you talk to is a call center agent.  can never get a hold of a manager or anyone that can make a decision to help a customer.

This company is a joke!  When I call with a question that I would think is basic for them I get contradicting answers from one customer service reps to another.  Then after all that I need to wait for a call back from a supervisor which never comes. 
 
The deal breaker was when the lawn technician tells me at the time of my first visit that it's ok to seed my lawn 2 weeks after the first app (crabgrass pre-emergent).  This was brought up because I told him I needed to seed my lawn due to the winter's damage and to my understanding seed will not germinate after this type of application.  He assured me that all I had to do was to wait 2 weeks after this application and I could seed without any issues.  I took his word for it considering that he is apparently the expert and would know more about the product he is using than I.   What a BIG MISTAKE!.. Two weeks later I seed my lawn and then call to have my account noted again that I seeded and to not put down anything that will jeopardize new seed growth.  The rep then tells I should not have seeded for 90 days as the first application will prevent new seed germination!  So now I wasted $120 on seed to not grow, this is an OUTRAGE!!!  The least of my concern was weeds when my lawn need to be seeded which is why I clearly and specifically expressed this to the lawn tech before the first app was applied!  
 
I canceled my services and will never use TruGreen again nor recommend this company to anyone!  The lawn techs and phone reps that I have been in contact with are clearly inexperienced and under qualified.  When I expressed my disappointment and requested to cancel my services they didn't try to rectify the issue they just said ok.  This is ridiculous.  Words cannot describe how disappointed I am with this and I honestly don't know how this company stays in business!

This Spring they have said they were three times... but as each week rolled by, they never showed. And they don't call to tell you why they don't show. I have called their general offices three times to complain and each time they apologize and say they are coming but here is another week and NO SHOW. You cannot contact the local office in Chelmsford MA because the phone just rings and rings... no way to run a business. I'm quitting these guys and going with another lawn service. Don't waste your time with these people... and don't pay them in advance as they ask you to do for a 10% reduction.

They were horrible. Part of their guarantee was that if you had any issues or if you notice weeds, they would come out within 24 or 48-hours to do another application or discuss what the issue was with your lawn. We called for two straight months and nobody ever came out. Compared to other people, their price was not the worst and they were not the highest. The service did not work. We have hired other people to come out and remedy the situation. They were just not reliable. Their guarantee was nothing.

They did a good job, so we never had any issues. We like them. We had a very good experience. Every time whenever they come they just gave us a call and they informed us that they are going to come and they did the service and when they called us they respond so good and replied back. One time we thought the service was not good so immediately they resend a person again to do the service one more time. They were very responsive and punctual and all those. Everything was very smooth. We are planning to hire him again for the coming year.

They have done a pretty good job. I have had very few problems with them. I have used them for about two years now.

They are nationwide; they are a huge company. They also sell Scott's fertilizer. They did excellent work.
