6Sears did not do one single thing as promised. They are a complete nightmare. Every single thing they promised we can honestly say they did not do it. In a battle over the final price. They have turned us into collection. Have to go to court with them. This has been going on over a year now. The outside looks fine, its whats underneath that the fight is about. The promised time of completion did not come close to happening. Dealing with one person didn't happen. Four chances to correct the issues and still they didn't do them. The lie and deceive you from beggining to end.

Sears was right on top of things until AFTER we paid them the money. SInce then it has been a nightmare. They stated that the unit would qualify for a Mass Save loan and they had all the certifications. We took out one of their special financing deals as a bridge and geuss what SEARS IS NOT AUTHORIZED IN THE STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS to qualify for Mass Save.
It was a nightmare getting the unit in and sinc ethen NO ONE HAS TAKEN RESPONSIBILITY AT SEARS.

We had a contract with them, and it was basically a total re-doing.  We wanted to replace the cabinets and basically it ended up being almost cheap to have the whole kitchen re-done.  We ended up having the whole kitchen redone, but it was a disaster and they still owe us money.  I would give them the lower rating.  They are general contractors; they do basically everything from flooring to cabinets and appliances.  We had them in August, September, October and November it took that long.  I spent $16000, we were supposed to get rebates, and they still owe us a $1000.  I feel the design was done improperly, they realized ultimately what they had designed needed a correction and it took them a great deal of time to handle that correction. They had to order new cabinets, etc.  We were supposed to have a single point of control, a contract manager if we could go to.  The man given was in transition, we didn’t hear from him for almost a month, they were extremely slow to react.  The work done was okay.  The communication, promptness, and reactivity were not good.  The pricing was okay.  I had to go court brick, to argue a point which I lost.  Basically I filed a complaint at the consumer protection agency and I never heard from them, I have given up.  They gave me a credit card; I could pay it up over 2 years with no interest.  I was given a little bit of extra credit to go through and use on appliance and things related to the project.  I went to the Sears store, and they didn’t honor the card.  I had to use my own credit card; they charged me $100 more because I was not using the Sear’s credit card, even though I was using the Sears home improvement card, which I feel was bad in its representation.  Court brick were supposed to transfer it but they didn’t transfer it back to the Sears account, at which point I would have had a lower priced fee.  That was a business dispute. That was primarily when I filed a complaint with the consumer protection agency.  I wish we would have used other contractors.  I won’t use them; unless they give my $1000 then I might go to buy some of their appliances which are good.

I had them deliver this appliance. They sub-contract the work. They showed up within the window of the time that they gave. I had cardboard on the floor. They told me that I didn't need it because the fridge had wheels. They took the cardboard away and when they pushed in the unit, they scratched my brand new wood floors. I called Sears and they told me to get pictures and an estimate. They were prompt in returning any phone calls and were somewhat concerned. I wish they would have listened to me to begin with. I only bought the unit here because it met all of my criteria.

GENERALLY GOOD. THE SALESPERSON WAS A BIT MORE HIGH PRESSURE -- BUY TODAY AND GET A DISCOUNT -- THAN I WOULD HAVE LIKED. IT TOOK THEM LONGER THAN I EXPECTED TO SEND SOMEONE TO TAKE THE EXACT MEASUREMENTS FOR THE DOORS. BUT THE INSTALLERS WERE ON TIME AND DID THEIR JOBS VERY WELL. THEY CLEANED EVERYTHING UP AND TOOK OUR OLD DOORS AWAY WITH THEM.

MY GARAGE DOOR HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE PROBLEM FOR ME. REPLACING IT AND INSTALLING THIS NEW ONE HAS SOLVED MY PROBLEM. I''M CONSIDERING INSTALLING A SECOND ONE.
