Mike is awesome! Professional, polite, and friendly. I tried to DIY my toilet repair but after getting pretty far down the road decided not to risk making a big mistake and called him. He was super responsive, fixed the problem quickly, and charged me a fair price. I've been looking for a new plumber who will be my plumber from now on, and now I've found him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Mike was great. He came out and definitely knows his stuff. The prices are very reasonable too. I am planning on using him for any future plumbing issues.

She really liked him, and I know its not only the phenomenally good work he did, but also that he was very friendly and conversed with her about different things that involve the work he was doing and the benefits of the type of grab bars he was installing because he did the same for his own mother. Mike was superb. The job required perseverance and Mike's never give up attitude paid off while working on my old house. The odyssey began when Mike tried to install the faucet I purchased. It did not fit. He went to a trade supple house in search of another that also did not fit. He was instrumental in getting the showroom to take the wrong one back, and recommended a helpful sales person who helped me buy an appropriate one. On the next visit we discovered that the holes were not drilled correctly, so the new faucet would not fit. Mike installed an inexpensive one for us to use until he could buy a special drill bit for cutting granite. Mike deftly enlarged the mounting hole, which was no small feat given the counter/sing/backsplash setup. He did so without damaging anything or creating a mess. He's also very personable and comfortable to be around and in the house. highly recommended.

I had two different leakages in a row with my toilet drain and sprinkler pipe in a row. Mike has been always responsive even without a dedicated phone receptionist. He came to my house on time, pinpointed the real issues quickly and fixed both issues on the spot with high quality. The price was very reasonable. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Mike Rivers for his help getting our home back online after we were affected by the gas disaster of September 13th. Our hot water heater, dryer, stove, 2 furnaces, and gas fireplace were all condemned. First he helped us install a temporary electric hot water heater, and then he returned to hook up the dryer and stove. Recently, he made us "House Ready" so that our gas could be turned back on. He advocated for us during the inspection process, and even helped us understanding some of the incorrect work performed by our furnace company. Throughout it all, he was kind, patient, and professional. He is credited with giving us back our home, and we are forever grateful. Mike was reliable and efficient. He arrived as scheduled, did all work as planned, for the price on his estimate. We have used Mike for many projects. He replaced a heating system this past March. He is professional, on time, cleans up and his work is very good. He also responds quickly if there is a problem, a big plus.

Mike was phenomenal. He spent hours fixing the problem (which was caused by a prior plumber who failed to install various gas pipes and connections correctly!). On the day of the appointment, unlike other company (I called before) who threw a big price tag on me, Mike was trying every possible low-cost options first to repair my leaking shower-tub valve. Mike is the bomb! I've hired him 2 or 3 times now, and have recommended him to several friends. He does quality work at a competitive price and, more importantly, he's just a good guy. What more do you need?

Upon first calling Mike to schedule the job, he was very responsive. I exchanged a couple of e-mails with Mike to fine tune the service date which made it very easy to communicate. Mike is very pleasant and genuinely outgoing. As a result, I felt comfortable having him work in my home which is very important to me when hiring a contractor. After giving me an over view of his game plan, he got right to work. In addition to repairing the laundry valve he installed a bracket to secure exposed pipes to the wall which lead to the laundry valve...this never even occurred to me. The price was fair and I am pleased with the outcome of the job. I will be contacting Mike shortly for an estimate on additional work.

Smoothly and on schedule

Mike showed up right on time to do the repair to the pipe. He did the work, took me downstairs to explain what he had done, and since it did not take him as long as he had anticipated it would, he only charged me $140 for the work. He was pleasant, well spoken, impressed me as being very honest and forthright. I would not hesitate to hire him again nor recommend him to friends or family. I will call him next fall to service our furnace when the time comes.

Everything went smoothly and I highly recommend Mike Rivers.  He was the best contractor I have ever dealt with in terms of communication.  I am on conference calls throughout the day, so I appreciate when someone is willing to use email and SMS to stay in contact.
Mike was very prompt at responding and coming over for a quote and was able to work around my work schedule.  He did a good job explaining the scope of the job and the different options for water heaters.  I chose to downsize from a 75 gallon tank to a 50 gallon tank; after he described the typical use cases for each one, it was obvious that a 75 gallon tank was unnecessary for my family's needs.
Mike did a good job explaining the costs and I believe he gave me a good value.  The job was performed on time and efficiently.  A little bit of additional work came up as a result of the inspection and Mike waived his labor fees for that since it was unexpected and he had to charge me for additional materials.
