Probably the most thorough inspection one could ask for. Dan arrived a few minutes before the appt, and walked me through the process. His partner, Grant and he split up; one tackling the inside, and the other starting on the outside. Towards the conclusion, they brought me around to show some areas that needed attention, and then made some personal suggestions on what they would do if this was their house. Just great guys, who made the process so much easier, and completely stress-free. Setting the process up was a breeze. Their website is extremely easy to navigate, and very functional. After booking online, I received a couple of emails, and a courtesy call, confirming the appointment, and letting me know what the process would be like. A funny aside - my late dad had a horseshoe hanging in his wood shop. One of the inspectors buried a comment (with photo) in the sixty-plus page report, citing folklore on how horseshoes ward off bad things. I can’t recommend them enough!

Service personnel arrive promptly, were very friendly and were very informative as they performed a very thorough inspection. The amount of detail they provided was excellent, and provides us with confidence that the major (an many minor) items of interest are as expected, or - if something was not- we are now aware of any issues and can base our decision to move forward with knowledge.

John was punctual, cheerful, knowledgeable (most importantly,) and a good communicator. Final inspection report captured items needing immediate attention but also will serve as a "to do list" going forward for things that would be helpful to attend to in our new home. We chose to add a radon test to the inspection which added ca. $130 to the total cost.

The inspection report was very detailed and included photographs and suggestions for me to submit to the seller. As part of their ongoing service, they send clients a monthly email with suggested maintenance tasks which is very informative and contains links to other online help. Since November, I have emailed Mr. Rodkey twice with questions and he has responded with helpful advice within 24 hours. I highly recommend JMR Inspections

An ideal experience and result. My realtor recommended John Rodkey, even (half-jokingly) warning me that I should find a different inspector if I was the type of person who didn't want to know about every possible little issue in my new home. But I do want to know, and the 35 page report John delivered (sooner than expected) has an incredibly detailed list of all the things I'll want to do to improve the place and keep it in good shape. The complexity of the info is a good mix; there are technical details that I'm sure will mean something to the pros I hire, but it goes on to explain things in a way that's understandable and useful to a layperson like me. John was clear about everything, obviously expert in his field, accommodating to my specific needs, super friendly, and generous with the time he took to go over a report summary over the phone. But the defining characteristic of his service is that he was THOROUGH. His team was similarly fantastic in all the phone and email communications before and after the service. I wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone.

Chris was already at the house when I arrived at the appointed time. He explained the process and as we proceeded with the inspection he patiently and thoroughly described any issues he encountered. We were joined by John, the owner of the company, who performed some specific inspections and also provided thorough explanations. We were also joined by Rocky who JMR contracted to do the pest inspection. The inspection was thorough. Some of the tests required a few days to process, but I received most of the results the following day and the full results in 2 days. The reports were delivered in PDF files that were well organized, thorough and easy to understand. Overall I'm very pleased with their professionalism and diligence.

We needed a complete home inspection, including radon, mold and wood-destroying insects. The JMR team was professional, courteous and thorough. This review would be straight As had we not found a few flaws in the report, perhaps because it came back within 24 hours. We would hire JMR again with no hesitation.

His report helped guide our house buying experience, but will also be a guide to help us keep the house in good repair, and to avoid unnecessary damage/expenses in the future.

JMR inspected a home we made an offer on, and literally everything about the process was better than I could ever hope for. Their scheduling was easy, the website and sample report helped me know exactly what to expect, and I felt safe not being able to travel to the house because of the very detailed report that showed up that evening! And then they were nice enough to talk over the important parts and humor my ideas and bad jokes. My only regret is that I don't have a time machine so I could pay them to do my last home's inspection. They also scheduled a third-party termite inspection at the same time, and... if you've already read this much, you're the kind of person who will love the detailed report, so call them right now.
