J Kearney Heating & Air

In short, my air conditioner caught fire a while back and I asked Kearney to 1) fix all of the electrical related to or impacted by the fire, and 2) replace the a/c unit that had caught fire. As they were finishing up the electrical job they said they didn’t have the parts they needed to do the last component, and asked if they could just do it later when the hvac was replaced. Ultimately, I decided against using them for the hvac because I found better options, but asked them to come back to fix the last remaining part of the electrical (which was actually the component that caused the fire and was a clear safety hazard). At that point, they told me I’d have to get a new quote and pay in-full for the visit separately. When I originally asked them to quote/repair everything related to the fire, I expected at the least they would repair the outlet that caused the fire. However, since they didn’t have the parts on hand, I needed to pay extra to have them come back out? This along with the fact that I was told several times by my insurer and other repair companies that I overpaid for the electrical repairs (I wasn’t fully compensated for the repairs they did - obviously that’s on me for not knowing better). Anyway, I would not recommend this company - there are much better options in this area.

They have been over several times. They are very attentive, very prompt and very professional. I would recommend them.

Arrived on time, explained everything they needed to do, was very professional, very neat.

Two men came right on time, protected my carpets with tarps, and were very professional, polite, and extremely hard working.  They explained what they did and how to register for the warranty.  It was a very smooth operation and they did a great clean-up job.  They checked all the vents to make sure the system was working.  I assume all will be well when I start using the new AC.  Very good experience.

Maybe I was lucky, but they came by the same afternoon (I had called probably right before noon, when it got really hot.) They were fast but not rushed. They were friendly and comfortable. They were both 100% professional, and they zeroed in on the problems & made their spot-on diagnosis lightning fast. The price was as expected.
I was really happy to find these guys, which I did just by driving by one of their vans once. I had previously tried three other HVAC/plumbing type of services in this area before and was so disappointed. I wish I could call J. Kearney for all my household service issues.
