"We'd like to clarify a few details about customer's move. When customer first provided the list of items for her move, she mentioned a one-bedroom apartment's worth of furniture. However, when our movers arrived, it was clear that there were more items than expected. This discrepancy was pointed out, and our movers continued with the job after she signed an agreement. As we explained upfront, the two-hour labor rate is the minimum charge for a labor rate. If the move takes longer than estimated, we must charge for additional time on an 15mins incremental basis. This was disclosed to you during the booking process, and again when the movers arrived and saw that the job would require more time. After the move was completed, you signed the contract, indicating that the service was finished. However, movers were surprised instead of payment she was on her phone calling the Police. Our movers were instructed by the police to leave, even though they had already completed the work. Movers also began taking photos for evidence and documentation purposes to show that they had worked hard and completed the move as agreed. However, customer tried to stop our movers to take photos and claims that she was being harassed, were not able to resolve the issue at that time, and the payment was not made, even for the minimum two hours of service. The police arrived, assessed the situation, and confirmed that no crime had occurred. They advised us that the matter should be handled through small claims if needed. We did offer to work out a resolution, but we were unable to come to an agreement, and the payment was not made. And FYI to the customer we are A+ accredited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). We strive to provide excellent service to every customer, and we feel that the situation was unfair. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter."
