"We were actually able to locate this transaction in our records in 2012. We regret that those records don't indicate that you utilized our Satisfaction Guarantee. There are some stains that do what is called "wicking" in our industry. If you can envision a candle wick, carpets will do the same thing. Unseen soiling or stains can remain after a thorough service and "wick up" the carpet fibers after servicing. The industry recommended way to remove that spot stain is through a very gentle touch-up so as not to over saturate the carpet again. By your own account, this is what you did. We only regret that we were not made aware of this so we could educate on the issue and resolve it directly"
