The Yankee Mattress Factory is a locally-owned company that hand-crafts mattresses on site in Agawam, Massachusetts. Founded in 1999, Yankee Mattress offers a relaxed, low-pressure mattress shopping experience not found at big-box stores.

They repaired the problem yet is resurfaced again within a short period of time
Description of Work: I bought 2 double size mattress' for each of my college age sons on tax free weekend. Within I would say 6 weeks I noticed a wrinkle which I thought the mattress pad was buckling but it was the actual mattress of BOTH mattress' I contacted the mattress factory re: this issues I spoke with the manager who was unprofessional and was yelling at me thru the phone as i wanted a refund.I came to learn from him that you can not be refunded for a mattress.he offered to repair the problem and would not charge me delivery fee. They repaired the mattress on the same day so we were not without a mattress however the same problem resurfaced within a short period of time.I would never ever buy a mattress from them again due to poor quailty and lack of professionalism.

Customer, We are very sorry to hear about your unhappiness with your two mattresses. We take customer feedback very seriously, as it is our customers whom have assisted in growing our local business since it was founded in 1999. From the day Yankee Mattress opened its doors, our policy has always been "No Returns" on used mattresses. The reason this policy exists is in direct correlation to the Massachusetts state law that declares the resale of used mattresses illegal. Our policies are clearly stated on all invoices and are given to customer at the time of sale. After receiving the call about your discomfort, we decided to skip our usual inspection process and immediately schedule a pick-up the mattress. To show our concern with your discontent, we had the delivery service redeliver the mattress that same day without delay. Upon receiving the mattress here at our factory, our factory manager and the owner inspected the mattress for any unexpected defects or abnormalities. Upon inspection, it was concluded that every part of the mattress was performing as expected. This Yankee Mattress set called the "Springvale" had a 10 year, non-prorated warranty which covers body impressions deeper than 1 1/2 inches. Even though the mattress was performing correctly and did not have a defect, we decided to replace the entire cover and upholstery layer at our expense. Whenever there is an issue with our products and a customer is dissatisfied, we do whatever is necessary, within the confinements of state laws, to make our customers happy. The pick-up and delivery charge was performed by our contracted delivery company and their $100 fee was paid by us, a new mattress cover and upholstery foam was added at no cost and the mattress was redelivered the same day. We have done everything physically possible to correct your dissatisfaction within our stated policies. We are proud to have the opportunity to serve Western Massachusetts with a locally-made product and we stand by our reputation as the region's Best Mattress Store.
