They are the best. We had a complicated / expensive problem on an out of warranty LG induction range. They figured out the problem and fixed. The OEM parts we needed were expensive, but the labor charge was more than fair. They communicated clearly at every step, showed up when promised, cleaned up, etc, etc. 10/10.

The first time around the washer that wasn't working by not running any water into the washer was the control panel need replacing. I opted to find one myself and obtained on online. I had some trouble reattaching the cover and the water still didn't enter the washer. A second visit, at no cost, it was determined that the on demand hot water system I had installed, didn't deliver enough hot water fast enough for the washer to continue the wash. We had to do cold washes until we donated the washers due to a move.

The repair person installed two parts that did not work properly and proved to be defective. He came back each time and finally was able to order the part from a different distributor, and it worked perfectly. Both the technician and the receptionist were very responsive. I especially appreciated the technician's persistence in solving the problem. I was not charged for the subsequent visits.

To their credit they came quickly to repair my my washing machine. What I discovered was that they have a flat rate of $75 to come to your home and another $50 to do anything (even a quick $10 lid repair) and that they inflate the price of their parts by 200% - 300%. When I provided documentation that their simple fix of my washing machine lid should have cost $75-100 maximum, they told me I was "bad mouthing a family business." When I gave them part quotes from multiple sites for the Whirlpool part price (which they had doubled or tripled the cost of depending on the site), they argued that what I was charged was manufacture price. When I provided an estimate of what amount of time the repair should have taken (10-15 minutes), they argued their man (who took 50 minutes, most of which was spent on his phone in his truck), they argued with me that he had checking to do at his truck. When I told them their repairman spliced the wire, to avoid even pulling out the machine to repair it, they ignored my feedback. I was charged almost $200 to fix a lid on my machine, a part that should have cost $10 and a repair that should have taken ten minutes, at most costing a total $100. I was ripped off. Never would I go to them again. Consumer beware.

We have used Family Appliance a number of times with great results, so we were expecting things to go well, and they did. I was able to schedule an appointment at a convenient time, the repair person called ahead and arrived during the appointment window. He was polite and professional and quickly identified the problem with our 11 year old gas stove. He quickly replaced the part and I had a working oven again. Very pleased with the whole process.

Very professional explaining things and answering our questions. Once repair was done-ice build up on fan so it could not spin was the problem. Showed us what to look for and checked gaskets and computer to make sure everything was fine. Advise if it happened again say in a few weeks, would come back out and not charge the service call.

It was great from start to finish. The technician called 15 minutes prior to arrival. I was quoted an appointment window between 8-10 am. The technician arrived around 8:30 am. He came in and was clean and fast. He found the faulty part and replaced it. Quoted a price that was fair and more than reasonable.

Very well! We have had Family Appliance help us at least 4 times, for everything from the clothes dryer, dishwasher, freezer and refrigerator. We have dealt with the owner, Jon, and one other employee. They are always professional and punctual and very helpful in giving us the information we need to make a decision about repair costs. Most recently, they gave us a quote for a new refrigerator because our compressor is failing. The refrigerator is still functioning so we will wait to replace it, but his quote was excellent and we will go to Jon when the time comes.

Jonathan made a preliminary visit to diagnose the problem, and then came back with a colleague since it would take two people to work on the venting. He found that some of the system had been set up correctly but that the vent hose and connections were inappropriate and had basically disintegrated. He fixed everything very promptly, told me how to check the system periodically, and got the drier working again. Very efficient, professional, and friendly; at the end, they cleaned up thoroughly.
