SIESTA SLEEPWORKS

We have a problem mattress (brand Beautyrest). The mattress is releasing chemical gas odors causing headaches. We have had the mattress ten days. I have had nights sleeping off the mattress on the floor (no headache) and nights sleeping on the mattress (headache in the morning). We have been airing out the mattress by day (taking off sheets, bed pad). The store had replied this is 'normal' and the smell will go away in a couple of days. We paid full price - no discounts. The buying process was ok. We initially purchased a King mattress. This size was too large for our bedroom size. The company allows one return within thirty days. Since the exact model was not available in Queen, we switch to a higher priced mattress. At our initial purchase (less then 2 wks before) this same Queen came with a free box spring. Two weeks later, for this exchange, we had to pay for the box spring. The odor is not as strong as the first few nights, however it is still present and causing headaches.

Overall, a very postitive experience. The sales staff is friendly, helpful and not pushy. We told the salesman upfront what we needed and he recommended we test 3 beds. He explained what each model offered and let us decide what we wanted. We saved money by picking up the beds (vs delivery). Had we chosen delivery, the fee was less than other stores. This is the second time we've bought beds at Siesta. We like supporting a local company and the prices are better than the national chain stores. The staff is good at helping pack the car.
