Seemed helpful at first when buying chemicals and testing water at the store, but had a terrible experience once we had an estimate for repairs. Terrible customer service. When asked for an estimate of pool repairs they started doing repairs and took parts of pool back with them to store without discussing this work before it was done. When called to complain about pool parts missing and asking them to bring them back, they replied they had explained what was going to be done (they had not) and they were going to repair the parts, which was going to be a few hundred dollars. Also, then did more repairs when they dropped the pool parts off, after they were told to just return the missing parts. Told employee that we would rather repair the part ourselves (found it for 1/4 of the cost online) instead of paying $90/hr for something we could easily take care of ourself (took 5 minutes). They continued to pressure us on buying a new filter, as we do need one, but I made it clear it was not in the budget for this pool season. They also tightened the pool filter too much, completely stripping the nut and twisting the clamp ring, costing us another $109 for a replacement part. On top of this, the staff was rude, augmentative, and insisted they were clear on what they were doing, even when I kept asking questions about what the process was, with no answer about the process, just saying "it is what we typically do". Insincere apology, followed by more statements about how they were right. Would not recommend at all! Find another place and save yourself time and money!

I called Aquaman to see if they could repair my hot tub. The repairs that they did make took a very long time and ended up becoming very expensive. Each time I would call them, to fix what had been done (or not done) previously, more charges were added to my bill.
It ended up costing us over $2,500.00 and the hot tub still had several issues, that it did not have to begin with. Every time someone came, they told us it needed a part and then we waited and waited for parts. The part would not fix the problem, and on and on it went.
I would not recommend this company because I am not satisfied with the service they performed.

Response from AQUAMAN POOL & SPA
"We 100% share in the frustration of this job. The service tech's made so many trips out to this job and we all wanted the same end result- a working spa and a happy customer. It was indeed a lengthy process and lots of troubleshooting went on. However, we were up front about the timing, pricing and everything regarding the work being done. In the spa business, parts are not always ideal to get (availabilty, time frame, shipping etc.) And we are always up front in letting the customer know that patience is necessary when dealing with multiple spa issues. It's a process of elimination when troubleshooting and we do the best we can. It did turn into a costly list of items needed, major equipment was replaced that totaled about $1930.00 over the course of the job. This could only be done with the proper approval though and we only continued on the customer's say so. Again, in this situation keeping the customer tally daily so they were aware of total costs along the way. We were exceptionally giving with the invoices and charges. We can see the frustration if the spa may still have a problem or a new problem, but the customer said they chose to not inform us because they couldn't afford further repairs. This was first brought to our attention 9 months after we were there. In the end, it really comes down to how far the customer wants to go with troubleshooting and how much money they want to put into the job. It can get very expensive, we know that, but we will always do what the customer wants. It's their call. We're sorry this ended on a sour note."

Our experience with them are generally good. They are very responsive; they make a point of showing up within a few hours.

They did a very good job of both opening the pool in the spring and winterizing it. They came out and really spent a lot of time doing the work. It really ended up being a very good price in terms of the personnel that came out. It was a good deal. We buy chemicals from them. They do the whole thing if they do the servicing in the middle of the year themselves and take care of the chemicals. That?s something that I liked about them. However, we decided to just manage the pool ourselves during the year. We gave them a water sample and they tested it there. They told us exactly what we needed. They gave us a print out of a sheet that included step by step directions in the right order in which to do things. They were always really nice and helpful. They seemed to have very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend them. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

The person who did the work took twice as long and didn't charge me anything extra. It was remarkable as it was very difficult for him to get to the parts that we needed to be done. It took twice the number of trips than he had planned on. He felt bad about taking such a long time and wouldn't even charge me extra for it. He didn't even take it when I tried to give it to him. The workmanship was just superb. The extra time that he took was not because he was incompetent, but because there was more work than he had anticipated. His initial price was also good for what he was going to do. He is superb, quick and his prices are reasonable.
