The removal of the existing concrete porch turned out to be a bear of a project because it was solid concrete all the way through. That didn't deter Steve though. His crew stuck with it and Steve did his best to keep the project on schedule.  After removing the existing structure, Steve discovered rotted wood that had to be replaced so the new deck could be attached correctly to the house. This required an additional inspection but I appreciate that Steve pulled the permit and took the necessary steps to make sure everything was inspected as required. He also contacted the gas company to have the gas lines marked so there wouldn't be any problems when digging the footings for the deck.

Steve's work is meticulous. He's a true craftsman and the pride in his work shows in the finished product. Steve took the time to listen to our needs. He built the stairs with low risers so it would be accessible to our dog when his back/knee are acting up. He paid attention to details like centering the deck between the windows and making sure the size of the deck was to scale with the size of the house.

Steve kept in touch and kept me apprised of the status of the project. He actually answers his phone and returns phone calls and emails in a timely manner- a novelty with many contractors.

I am already planning more projects for Steve. He's very professional and he's a good guy. I look forward to working with him again.
