4/17/18 received estimate and told Crane work was out 6 to 8 weeks due to extensive tree damage on the South Shore from March and April storms. 6/4/18 told within 2 to 4 weeks Received call Fri 6/29 they would be here Sat 6/30 at 7 AM. They arrived on time and removed the trees. Excellent job and clean up.

It went great. I had to wait a few weeks to be fit into their work load, but as soon as our day came they showed up a little before 7 and started after we left for work. I got a call on my way home letting me know they were done and asking me to mail my payment. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised to find they took the big trees but left some smaller ones behind. I never told them i wanted to keep the smaller ones. Its like they read my mind. Other companies I contacted had said they would take everything because it was easier, so I expected Hansen to do the same. They thoroughly cleaned the area around the trees, meaning little to no saw dust was left behind and branch fragments were minimal. If I didn't know the trees had been there before, I never would've noticed they were gone. And the price was the lowest quote I recieved. Perfection.

I agreed to the price thinking it was going to be an involved project and was surprised it only took a few hours to plant the 5 shrubs. I was given a quote for planting 6 bushes and when the price was so high I decreased it to 5 shrubs but the price only changed by the cost of the individual bush but not the labor. So in total it cost around $280 to plant each bush. I should have negotiated the price better but was intimidated. I feel I was taken advantage of and would never recommend this company to anyone.

We had a lot of trees that need to be trimmed.  Some were accessable using the cherry picker and others required climbing.   Paul estimated the job.  He showed up on time and was very professional.  I had shopped around quite a bit and found the quote to be very reasonable.  The office sent the insurance certificates of liability before the job as promised.  The crew was also very professional and did an exceptional job.  Frankly they even did more than I expected.  They worked constantly for the 4 hours they were on site and were very responsive to any request I made during the job. They were also very conscientious, making sure that branches were tied up and there was no damage to the fences, deck and sheds that were directly under the trees to be trimmed.  Clean-up was thorough.  
One minor point.  They were not able to show up on the initially scheduled date.  I understand that in this line of work you can run into jobs that take longer than expected, but they did not even call to let me know there was a problem until I called the office hours after they should have arrived.  They then called back to re-schedule the work for the next day.  The next day both the office and the crew chief called to confirm the second appointment 30 minutes before arriving.   It was clear that they had listened to my complaint on the previous day and taken steps to make sure it didn't happen again.
To summarize, I am very pleased with their work and would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a professional quality tree trimming job that is reasonably priced.

I called to arrange for service and spoke with Norma in the office. I emailed her pictures of what needed to be done. Paul came out that day to look at the tree laying on the roof and provided an estimate. 
Tree removal is normally scheduled for a few weeks after the estimate is accepted, but the insurance company would not come out to assess damage until the tree limb was removed. Norma's advice was to write this information on the estimate and fax it back. I did, and they were out within a day to get it off the roof and removed from the property. I'm very grateful they were so prompt.

When I contacted Hansen tree about getting a quote, they told me they would have someone come out to look my trees. That same day someone came out and left me a quote in my mailbox. The next day I was pleasantly surprised to get a follow up phone call asking me if I had any questions about the quote . I got four quotes prior to giving the job to Hansen tree. They weren't the least expensive, but based on their professionalism, punctuality, and reviews I read an Angies list I choose them and I am so glad I did. They came out within a week, and the job they did was fantasic. they cleaned up and raked my yard free of any debris.I would definitely use them again in the future

All the work was done in one day including cutting down multiple large pines and a number of maples.  Crew arrived at 7:00 am and worked all day.  Large crew, cleaning was done after the work was completed.  Messiest part for us is that once large trees uprooted, need to landscape the grass.  Work was coordinated by a crew leader and it went smoothly.

Originally contracted with Hansen because of a neighbor's positive experience.  Paul, who did the estimate, was very helpful.  He also pointed out a three maples I should remove myself before they got too big and told me how to feed the large maple in front of the house.  I had asked for an estimate to take down a dead oak in the woods behind the house.  He gave me a price but recommended against it as it was not a hazard. 
There was a scheduling problem initially.  Hansen was supposed to come on the afternoon of 6/24 but didn't show.  When I called late in the day, they assured me that the crew was still coming that day but they didn't.  However, Hansen was very apologetic, rescheduled for 6/26, and showed up on time.
The trees were behind the house and difficult to get to. The crew removed sections of two fences to get the bucket truck within reach.  They worked hard, were  professional, cleaned up and put everything back when done.   I would hire them again.

Our only question at one point was about chippable branches vs. non-chippable branches that were at the bottom of our branch pile. We were looking to have that all cleaned up - but understood that branches mixed with dirt would need to be hauled away instead.

They came on time, they gave us an accurate estimate, they cleaned up after themselves, and they did a great job.

We had initially gotten prices from them as well as another company.  The other company was a little bit cheaper so we ended up going with them but they fumbled up with the job really big.  We ended up calling Hansen back and had him come over and clean up the mess as well as finish the job.  The other provider cut down two trees they weren't supposed to, dropped a third on the roof and they were supposed to prune one but they left only one branch on it so we happened to have Hansen take that down.  We actually did research on the other company before we hired them and it was all good reviews but after this happened I went back on and there were a couple of new reviews posted on Angie's List and a few on other sites that everything has been going bad.  Like he drove over somebody’s septic system and caused a ton of damage from that.  His price was within the top of a couple of companies.  Hansen was really good.  Any future work is going to go through him.  When he came in his initial price was $2800 and the other company was $2600.  We had prices over six grand.  They had to come in and remove trees that the other company had left so the price came down to $2500 after all the work that the other company had initially done.
