I would never bring my rugs to this place again. We dropped off 3 area rugs, was picked up a week later. The rugs were still brown from dirt and the dog hair still in the carpet. I immediately went back and requested a refund. We rented a rug doctor and you can see the difference. The left is the rug "cleaned" from Alecs, the right is the rug doctor.

"I am very sorry to hear about your disappointment. Unfortunately, some times area rugs get extremely soiled to a point that even multiple cleanings have a limited benefit. Especially smaller rugs used by a door or entrance. Pet hair can get logged into the pile and even with multiple vacuuming the pet hair remains and can only be removed by actually pulling these hairs out one by one. With over 50 years of experience, we do try to get the best possible results but sometimes we are just limited to what we can archive."

They were on time, freindly and profesional. Unfortunately they did not do a good job. I called them back to clean the same stains (wine). I still have the same issue after they re-cleaned the carpet. I used and quot;Resolve and quot; to remove the stains

"(Member name removed), I sorry to hear about your carpet cleanning experience. We strive to do the best possible work possible. It seems that the problem was with a wine stain. Just for your information, there are mant tyoes of wine and they all have a different level of acidity which can cause different results. Also, if anything was used prior to have us clean a stain, that can cause furthur complications. Also, some of the products we use will break down certain stains, but they don't react instantly, and some stains can take a while to react totally. I have not talked to the technician about this particular job, so I'm am not really aware of any complications he may have encountered. Please, in the future done hesitate to call us, I will do our best to provide you with the best posible service. Thanks, Alec Houle"

I have been using their services for years. I think they are very great and reasonable. Everyone employed with their company is very pleasant and wonderful. They answer all of your questions, come on time, call when they are on their way, and do a great job.

They always do a flawless job. They always send out the owner or his son and they are both very knowledgeable. They work very hard to accommodate my special requests and they are good about notifying you if they are running late because of traffic or something. There is very good communication. I have been using them for about 15 years and I have never had a problem with them. They are a small company and they are very well trained. There is almost no turnover so it is consistent; I've been seeing the same guys for nearly 15 years. I'm sure I got estimates in the beginning but I don't bother anymore. I think they are very reasonable. They move all of the furniture and they put it all up on blocks so there isn't water damage.

They were excellent. They are by far the best ever. Kevin was the one who came the last time. He is phenomenal. If they think they can’t clean something, they tell me that they do not want to take the chance. Jan, who makes the appointments, is amazing. She is very good at making appointments and good at taking information. I spent $280 on their last visit.

We were referred to Alec's by an neighbor and we checked them out on Angies List. We were happy with the reviews they had. Our rugs were in dire need of a cleaning. They showed up on time and were quick and thorough. Price was very reasonable Will definitely use again.

We have used Alec's for many years. A few months ago, they cleaned two carpets where our dog had had an accident. It wasn't pretty. They got everything out; all the stains. They are responsive and professional. They'll also tell you about how they decided which chemicals to use depending on the stain, the style of carpet, etc. if you want to know. Recently our dog (she's 13 so we cut her some slack) had another accident on the carpet and leather sofa. They initially couldn't come for six days out but then rearranged some schedules to be able to come within four days. By that time, I had found someone else who could do it sooner, and they were very gracious about it and understood.

Alec's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning did a superb job on our carpets. They were very meticulous and thorough. The work quality is very good. I thought the price was a little high. On the whole, I could recommend this company.
