Louisiana Tub Restoration LLC

It went and is still going all horribly wrong. Greg and Josh of Louisiana Tubs Restoration were recommended to refinish my Godmom’s antique 1940 tub by a reputable and OUTSTANDING plumbing company in Zachary that installed new plumbing throughout my home. Greg Watkins, Josh Tuner, and a little 5 year old boy came to my home while my contractor and I watched them load the bathtub upside down on the trailer. I took pictures of them, the tub, the drain pipe, the bottom of the tub which has distinct 1940 markings and unique slide in feet. I called frequently to check the status of the tub each month for 8 months and was told by both Josh and Greg that they were backed up, and had deaths in the family. I didn’t mind the delay only because my house wasn’t fully renovated and we still had time before it was needed. Finally, after many months (almost a year) A tub was delivered...BUT, NOT my deceased Godmom's tub that they carried away from the house. After receiving the tub I contacted the plumbing company that referred me to inquire about fixtures. I was asked about the number of holes for fixtures for the tub and if the drainpipe was delivered. It was then that I noticed there was only one hole and no drainpipe. (there were three holes on the original tub instead of one. Finally I turned over the tub to see that the raised date was not only there... but the tub was stamped with MADE is USA 1950!!!!!. I then referred back to the pictures I had taken along with the ones from the day Greg and Josh both loaded on the trailer. I immediately called both Greg and Josh. Josh assured me that it was my tub and that he may have filled in the hole accidentally and he would come to cut out the other holes. After much research I went to the BBB and Yelp where there are numerous complaints about receiving wrong products, no shows, no call backs, not returning payment. I called Greg and Josh and after much back and forth they agreed that they would make it right and that the wrong tub was delivered; that it has never happened before. I then mentioned the BBB where a contractor posted that he was upset that his client did not receive the correct tub which was delivered a few weeks before mine (you can review it for yourself on BBB and YELP as they are still available. I asked Josh and Greg to contact the contractor, so that I could get my deceased Godmom's tub back. I suggested that they come get their tub on several occasions. Finally, Josh and Greg admitted that they could not get the tub back. However, I could keep the wrong tub they delivered!! I told them that wouldn’t work for me because it wasn’t anywhere near the tub they tool, and that I found a tub that resembled and was more compatible with my Godmom's, and that it was a 1935 tub. I also inquired about the $700 fee I paid for refinishing the tub I never received back. I called and texted both Greg and Josh and was advised to email the invoice. I was asked if I was going to pay for the replacement tub and then they would reimburse me. I told them no and that the sales person was waiting to hear from them for payment. I did not hear back from either of them and neither did the salesperson. I called both Josh and Greg to follow up left messages; sent text and received nothing didn't receive a call back. I called again and spoke with Greg after the flood and he told me that he was a believer of God and treating people fairly and they would come get the tub refund my money and I would surely receive the tub. To this date I still have not heard from either of them. No one has reimbursed me for the 700.00 I paid for refinishing the tub that they stole and never returned, nor replaced the tub with a compatible one, or picked up the wrong tub. Greg and Josh have been untrue from the beginning and I believe that they not only STOLE my my Godmom’s tube but that they also SOLD it. With all the corruption with contractors you would think that people and businesses that wish to remain reputable would do better. Greg and Josh my lawyer and I are still waiting to hear from you to make this right as you promised you would. It’s sad how people take advantage of each other and don’t hold true to their word. Just do what's right as you stated you would.

The first few times I called the company no one answered and the voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. But they called me from their caller ID log. Josh explained that he had been sick for awhile and that's why his messages were backed up. He also said he was hiring a new secretary that week. After that, the communication was good with both the secretary and Josh. I talked to him Monday and he did the work that Friday. He showed up on time and called me to explain what he was doing (I work out of state so I wasn't there). He sent me pictures when he was done. My renters said the tub looks brand new. There's a one-year warranty on the work; a few other places I researched seem to have longer warranties.

It went beautifully. Fantastic job of prep work and cleanup. Tub looks like brand new.

Greg promptly scheduled a technician to my job and in just a few hours had an old heavily worn and hard water stained tub looking just like a shiny new model. They took great care to protect all surrounding surfaces and left the area spotlessly clean.

So I contacted Louisiana Tub to refinish 3 bathrooms in my home.  The company owner Josh did the job.  They showed up a week earlier due to a scheduling mis-hap, so none of the toilets were pulled in any of the bathrooms, which Josh pulled himself for no extra charge, which i thought was great.  I was told the job would take about 2 days, it ended up taking 4, due to the extra work, which is no big deal, since I'm not living in the house currently.  He didn't show up each day until 10-11 AM at the earliest, which like i said was no big deal to me since I wasn't currently living in the house.  He was supposed to come on a Saturday but he called me and said he didn't have a babysitter, which is very understandable, except for the fact that he didn't call to tell me this until 1:00PM So, moving forward, after the bathrooms were refinished, i realized that the floor in my shower had a great deal of defects, so i contacted Josh and he came within 2 days and repaired it.  After looking at the job over again, i paid Josh the full 1800.00 dollars for the job.  A couple weeks went by and i realized that there was a 2'x2' area on one of my bathroom walls thats had about 20-30 air bubbles.  I attempted to contact Josh a few times via his personal cell phone, with no answer.  I then called the listed number to the company and i was assured by his associate that Josh would contact me.  After a few days, he did contact me. I told Josh what the issue was and he said it would be no problem, he would be by to fix it.  Since then it has been 3 weeks, i have spoke to Josh's associate a few times a he has assured me that he was going to contact Josh and have him call me, which has never happened, I've called and texted multiple times with no response.  I have now left voicemails on Josh's personal phone and the company phone, with no response from either.  The quality of their work is good, but if you have any problems, be sure you address them before you pay, or they will leave you high and dry is what i have learned from my experience.  I would not allow them to come fix this problem now after the way this has been handled and would not recommend Louisiana Tub to anyone.

Also to update.  Apparently, when my tub was refinished, the drains were not removed, instead they were painted around, so i have used each tub about 5 times maybe, and they are both beginning to peel and rust around the drain ? I guess i will be paying a more professional refinisher to fix this mess.

They did a great job. It is gorgeous and still looks brand new. We are very, very pleased. They were very nice, neat, and cleaned their mess up.

Whoever owned the house before me had painted the tub to match the gray ceramic tiles on the wall around it.  Tub has been peeling since I moved in 18 years ago.  Had the tub and wall tiles reglazed a pristeen white...the job was completed in less than one day and looks absolutely fabulous!!  Josh and Greg were great to work with, anwered my questions and were very professional.  Josh did the work today and went about it quickly and efficiently and left no mess.  I would definitley recommend them to anyone wanting to give the bathroom a affordable facelift.  They do a lot more than just tubs so give them a call...you won't be sorry.

Could not be more pleased with this company. From the first phone call to the end result, the entire experience was seamless. At first I was a bit disappointed when they couldn't fit me in their schedule for a couple of weeks, but they ended up calling sooner with a cancellation and I got my beautiful white tub earlier than expected. Professional, good folk to do business with. The technician was courteous, the craftsmanship on the job is impeccable and the price is very fair. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking to refinish an old tub.

My tub was so ugly.  Now it is beautiful.  I am pleased and impressed with the professionalism of the technician.  Several months later my tub is still smooth and lovely.

The technician was very friendly and very efficient. He came in, looked at the tub, verified the details of the job and went to work right away, He taped off and covered all the area surrounding the tub, then proceeded to prepare the tub for the new paint job. Once the tub was ready to be painted, he brought in a fan to vent any fume to the outside and then applied two coats of paint to the tub. Once the paint was dry he removed the tape and paper from the covered areas and re-caulked the tub and cleaned up any mess that had been made. the total time of the job was about 4 hours.
