Floorworks

We found FloorWork by word of mouth.  There was a lag time associated with completion of the order because the granite had to be ordered (this is very normal especially because we do not live in or near a large metropolis).  FloorWorks subcontracted out the granite work (again not uncommon) and we were very happy with their subcontractor.  The lead installer also fabricated and cut all the granite openings.  He wasn't happy with the way one edge was lining up, took it back to his shop, re-fabricated part of it, and finally installed it.  A perfectionist!  From first contact until we were done was approximately 6 weeks, but all of that was on us-- we wanted to wait to order floor tile so we could color coordinate it with the granite.  We could not be happier with the service!  By far, they were better than any other service industry we've worked with.  Our only "complaint" isn't so much with FloorWorks but with what seems to be a regional issue with contractors who do floors, windows, etc…, and that is their showrooms are only open Monday thru Friday from 8AM to 5PM.  If you work (like we both do) you have to take time out of your work day to coordinate anything.  But FloorWorks were extremely accommodating, often coming out at the end of the day (and even after they'd normally be closed) to measure floors and cabinets and assist us in our home.  We will absolutely be using them in the future!

The tile job was acceptable, but after 11 years and 3 months, water damage had occurred behind the tiles in the standing shower. Closer inspection revealed that there was no moisture barrier applied behind or on the substrate. Cement-backed substrate was agreed upon and paid for, but this was not in place either. The owner came out and looked at the damage, but denied that anything was wrong. He seemed to be of the attitude that this was expected to happen after a period of time, and would not repair the damage.

I wanted a quot on the carpet plus installation, but the sales person was rude and VERY impatient. She did not provide any valuable info. Bad customer service....

The first vinyl was crooked. They didn't take it up, they laid another one on top and it didn't fit. Then we went to ceramic tile and they gave us everything we have put into the vinyl, money wise, into the ceramics so I really can't complain, it wasn't their fault but it went on for several months to get all these straightened out. It was pretty expensive because the original floor had asbestos on it and we opted to have an asbestos remover to come and remove it and so that pushed the price way up of actually having the floor done. I don't have anything bad about them but it was just a bad situation. I don't think I'm going to use them again.

They did a great a job and came in on time.  They did what I expected and all looks great.  Their quote was right along with the others that I had received.  They sent their estimator, got the materials in, did the job on time and everything with them went great.  The people that came out to do the installation were real good to work with.

, We contacted Floorworks to provide to help us select high quality materials to upgrad the floors in the home we has just purchased here in West Monroe.  Their staff helped us with selection of materials, provided a quote for installation and detailed exactly the services to be provided (materials, labor, estimated time to complete the job).  Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the final results.  The installation was done in a timely manner, the installers were friendly and answered our questions as the job proceeded and they did an excellent clean up after the job was done.  I would definitely use Floorworks again for any future work we plan.

I used them back in November for hardwood flooring installation , they laid tile in both my bathrooms and a custom shower and they also laid some carpet for me. What I liked most about them is they were so helpful, nice, clean and trustworthy.

The owner was wonderful. He came out when he said he was. He helped us very well. I'm very satisfied. They were very prompt. They called back anytime I called them.
