Dec 2013
Mr Broussard showed up on time every day and did an adequate job. After about 60% of the job was done! we challenged him and asked numerous question on the next phase of the job.
We felt from that day on we met resistance to the direction we wanted to go. We had paid over $68,000 from October 5 through December 3 and had a bad feeling as to where this was going.
We requested a meeting to review the most recent phase completed and he offered to resign from the job. We told him we liked his work and wanted to continue. After thinking about his request to resign we decided to contact him and take him up on his offer. He requested to meet the next morning to gather his tools and collect what he felt was owed.
Upon his arrival, I had all written correspondence that had been given to us and wanted to settle with him based on what the contracts were, what was agreed to and more importantly what was finished.
He came to the meeting with absolutely unprepared to discuss this and expected us to hand over an additional 6500.00 which he had no documentation to substantiate his request.
We reviewed line by line what jobs had been performed and what was paid. We then went line for line on what had not been done and what those cost were. The evening before I went through this exercise and actually found he could have possibly owed us!
I was willing to discuss this like 2 mature business people. However as he found he had nothing to substantiate what he found what was owed as well could not justify what he was owed, I told him if he felt different it would be a good idea to contact his attorney and have him contact me.
We tried several times to rectify this by looking line by line and he just got more frustrated and mad. He ended up cussing me and my wife out and we asked him to leave.
It is a sad situation as mr Broussard did ok work however his administrative abilities and abilities to handle business matter hindered him. As I mentioned before he was paid whenever he asked for the money.....to the tune of $68,000.00 in a little over 60 days.
I would never recommend him. He told us of the last two jobs he had been removed from and of course one was family. According to him, they don't speak any longer. Throughout the entire 60 plus days he reminded me numerous times he had never screwed anyone and that should have given me a hint. He screwed me!
I would be more than happy to discuss this with anyone who considers him.
I would never recommend nor employ him again.
