SHORT VERSION: DO NOT USE LEONARD'S HOME DECOR to install if you buy from Lumber Liquidators. They are the PARENTS of the MANAGER and they are TERRIBLE!!! THere are other local installers and the manager is NOT supposed to PUSH his parents on the customers however apparently does so consistently according to Lumber Liquidators Corporate. Read on if you want details of our horrible experience: We bought our flooring at the Lumber Liquidators in Shreveport, LA where the very nice manager's parents are also, as luck would have it, installers for the flooring. "How convenient", we thought. They are a very nice old couple, in their late 60's early 70's with 30 years experience we are told and they can come out to the house next week to give us an estimate on installing the floors. Initially, Patsy Leonard, the wife was very responsive to our calls regarding setting up the install, coming out to measure etc and impressed us with tales of the other important jobs they had done such as the flooring for the General from Barksdale AFB as well as a few other jobs in the South Highlands area. THey also are very knowledgable about the type of underlayment etc. After the contract was signed I was only able to contact the Leonard's one more time however we had nothing but problems and trouble with every aspect of the installation. The two guys they sent out initially installed the floor wrong, the entire floor, floating it when it was a nail down floor! So had to come back out and take it all up and redo the floor. That was the one time I was able to contact Patsy Leonard. Their equipment malfunctioned during the installation which dragged on for three days, for a single room and was poorly done, then with so many mistakes with cutting and measuring the extra box we were going to return had to be used so we lost that money. The installers really did not know what they were doing and the LEonard's never came to check on the work or answered any calls and there were many attempts. By the third day my husband and I told the guys to just finish it up and we would put down the last of the quarter round ourselves since the installer was struggling so badly with it. I had a great response from Lumber Liquidators corporate however when I called them. They put in a formal complaint for us and informed us that there are several installers available in this area and that the local manager is NOT supposed to PUSH his parents on the customers. After investigation I have found that Leonard's home decor consistantly gets terrible reviews and ratings yet keeps getting business. DO NOT USE THEM if you buy form LUMBER LIQUIDATORS.
