Unit had an old mercury thermostat that was not working properly. Technician replaced the thermostat and let me know to keep the unit going as long as we could because new units are not made like the one I have anymore. Good to know.

I picked Major Appliance A/C and Heating out of the yellow pages. The technician was at my door in 30 minutes.
Diagnosed to problem and ordered a new motor. Two days later he was back and installed the new motor.
Excellent job performed in a timely manner. I'll use them again if needed.

They were recommended to me by some other people and they do some pretty reasonable work. I had replaced my attic unit the year before Katrina. Apparently after the house had three and a half liters of water in it there was enough condensation inside the attic unit while it was running that it rushed it out and so ended up having to replace it. I wish I had known that when I filed my insurance claim for Katrina. The price wasn't outrageous.
