We found the creativity of this consultant to be lacking and her services in the end, over-priced. We terminated our agreement when they were unable to provide suitable references as was required as a condition of assignment. Subsequently due to the designer's measurement error of a wall, we had to order additional cabinets to fill a 10" gap at a cost of $900.00. In retrospect the advice we received from subsequent vendors proved to be more valuable and J & E did not earn our recommendation for future jobs. Our project started with the intention to re-finish kitchen cabinets. At our initial consultation, we were swayed to purchase new since the difference in cost was only $2,000 - $3,000. The project mushroomed far in excess in part due to our fault but also poor advice in consideration of the scope of the renovation. While we really had very little idea how difficult the project actually be, the information from the consultant provided little to no help to manage the project.
