They kept telling him things needed to get fixed when he went in for an oil change. We finally told him to get his car and not worry about it. He went to the Honda near his school and he did not need all that work. I authorized the first payment and then they kept back with more charges and the cost kept piling up. When he was there we went there to put on tires he had bought at Sams. They said he need a front end alignment so we authorized that. Then they kept back with more work that needed to be done and something else done and the cost just kept going up and he spent all day there until he finally said give me my car. I would not recommend that anyone go there unless they have a mechanic with them. He went in to get his tires rotated and they said he was needed $2000 in repairs and he did not even have the car for a year. It seemed like since he was a teenager and in there by himself that they could take advantage of him. The little coupon book they gave him when he bought the car did not cover anything he needed done.
This is an extremely honest and friendly car dealership. They looked my car over and ended up telling me that I had entered the incorrect make of my vehicle which increased the car's value. I ended up getting a higher after they inspected my vehicle - they could have easily just gave me the offer from the internet that I brought in but they were honest enough to tell me I had the wrong make entered for my Camry which increased it's value. I've never known of a car dealership that was so honest and friendly. When I am ready to buy another vehicle, I will definitely drive to Slidell because I know I will be dealt with fairly. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone in the area. It's definitely worth the drive to Slidell.
The call we received from the general manager Nick Richard stated that they auctioned the care after finding numerous mechanical issues with the vehicle. The vehicle had been sitting on the lot for 2 weeks from our last visit and test drive. According to the shop bill we viewed the car had already gone through an inspection. Had we taken the vehicle the night of signing the paperwork we would have been sold a car with multiple undisclosed major mechanical issues and the car information would have been clearly misrepresented.
The sales manager called and told us he would and quot;make it rightand quot; and would search for a similar vehicle through various contacts he had in the used car world. He promised to call back that night and give us an update. We did not receive a call that night. I tried on multiple attempts to reach the sales manager by phone and was continuously put on hold and told he was in meetings and unavailable.
I called one last time and told the operator that I was on my way to pick up my check. When I asked the sales manager for an explanation he was full of excuses and deflected the blame. I repeatedly told them I had limited time to buy a car and did not want my time wasted.
Took my wife's car in for a few small repairs. Very minimal cosmetic type things like the brake light rattling in the rear dash, the little gear shift plastic plate was broken, rug on right side door coming loose, etc. There was also squealing coming from the rear brakes, so was just looking for a quote to get them replaced.
For the 2nd time ever of taking the car there, they ran this huge diagnostic (without us asking for this service) that costs just over $100.
In addition, the quotes for the repairs I had listed totalled $1,700.00. The rear brakes alone were $250.00. And that small piece of plastic for the gear shift? $50.00. The rattling light fix was $55.00.
Needless to say, I most unhappily paid the $100 for un-asked-for diagnostic, took the car to Pep Boys and got the brakes done for $129.00.
The only reason I gave even a single Star for the Customer Service rating was because the girl was actually very nice and professional and I'm pretty sure she was doing her job the best she could. But she does have to go by the policies of the dealership, which in my opinion in this particular case, are horrid.
