Tier 1 Remodeling

First, I realized why he didn't provide in his contract - housecleaning service for any mess that was left. When he came out, he gave me a big speal about how clean they were. After they got here, my house was so nasty and disgusting. He was suppose to antique the cabinetry. So, he had one of his workers antique my cabinets. It was messy and sloppy and you could see fingerprints on the cabinets in the stain. When he put back the trim, there were nail holes that he didn't fill properly and he argued with me about filling them! I told him I was unsatisfied with his sloppy antiquing job. He would not make it right. He said it was open to interpretation. Then, my husband & I offered him a deal where if he would repaint our cabinets - we would pay out of pocket to have them glazed by someone else that was going to be $875 which was in his contract to do originally! The rest of his time, he did sloppy work; he was angry and unpleasant; they left paint drips in places that were not even caulked all over the kitchen. On the last day he was here, there is a big cabinet; I specifically asked when he was going to put in the shelf for the cabinet? He said he wasn't going to because it wasn't specified in the contract. He didn't have everything itemized in the contract. He got aggressive and angry and it scared me. I didn't feel comfortable being in the house with him. He called me a liar. He said he was leaving and taking everything including the cabinet doors I had already paid for. I told him, if you leave with my cabinet doors; I will call the police! He said, 'go ahead!' I called the police. When the Sheriff's car pulled in, Matt started to unload my cabinet doors. I filed a report and he left! He pulled out my dishwasher and put it back in to do some work, and I have now discovered my dishwasher will not work! And, instead of removing some trim - he broke it off. He wasn't going to put it back! I had another company put in tile and granite countertops. After they grouted it, I realized they put grout in a place where Tier 1 was suppose to have installed trim. I had to pay different people to come and repair his work, hanging cabinet door, putting on hardware, repairing nail holes, drips in paint, caulk, etc.! And now, I have to pay to have my dishwasher repaired or replaced - not sure yet! I also had to pay to have someone properly antique my cabinets!
