Pool and Spa Servicing
$9,000
We went into the store several times prior to actually making the purchase, as one might expect when spending $8000. They were very nice and extremely helpful every time we went in to look and ask questions regarding pools, pump types, maintenance, etc.
The minute we wrote the check and made the purchase, is when their service stopped. The day i went in to pay for the pool, I also set up an installation date. It was clearly written on my receipt. That day came, and nobody showed up. I called around lunch time to see what the holdup was. The people at Splash weren't very nice and told me my date was the NEXT day. I explained to them that it was CLEARLY written on the receipt and I had already taken the day off from work and was expecting someone. The guy acted like he didn't believe me and was argumentative. I drove my butt up there just to throw the receipt in his face and show him in black and white. He acted SHOCKED that I was actually telling the truth, and then barely apologized and said there's no way they could get the installer out that day. So I had to take another day off from work.
All in all, they were very nice and accommodating up the point you actually purchase and pay for the pool. At that point, they have moved on and don't really have time for you.
If there was ANY OTHER store in my area that sold the same or similar pool, I would shop there instead of Splash.

It appears that all Splash is intersted in is selling heir product and offers poor service after the sale. A couple of the clerks treat you like you are there to do them a favor. (Not Mr. Kennedy--I ask for him every time I call or go there.) They talked us into buying a new filter system last year and the guy that came out worked over 2 hours reading the directions as he went along. He did not charge me to set up the new pump and filter since he had never done it before and chalked it up to a learning experience. I think we have had the pool five years and we go through this ordeal every year. About three years ago I wrote a letter to the local BBB and sent a copy to Splash. Things got somewhat better, but then fell back to pitiful. I love to praise great businesses and will give any of them their just reward, but Splash is simply in it to sell the pools and could care less about service after the sale. I intend to submit another complaint to the local BBB regarding Splash.
