Pro-Tech Heating & Air Conditioning

We had a new system and duct work put into our rental house back in November 2012. This was the first summer we had a chance to try it out and needless to say, it didn't work. We had 4 different professionals come out and assess the problem. We were told by all 4 that the duct work needed to be redone, but the a couple of the others felt we need an additional unit to cool the entire house. The quotes were running anywhere from $8,000 to $9,500. When Pro-Tech came out they concluded that the duct work needed to be reran, but the current unit should be suffice to cool the entire house. They did however recommend additional insulation. They gave us a price of almost half of what the others were quoting on the duct work, plus once we got the insulation in it was working perfectly. Our total went from a high of $9,500 to $3,700 for total to get it working properly. John was absolutely great to work with and kept my mind at ease during the entire process. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone for both price and quality of work. He really knew what he was talking about and helped us out tremendously.

Our air conditioner was not cooling at at. I called Pro-Tech, and within 2 hours Mr Pagel had come to the house and fixed the problem. He found that the system was not pulling air because of a large block of ice caused by low coolant. He thawed the ice, added 3 pounds of coolant, and fixed a leak, which evidently had been there a while because of the evidence of rust present. He was very professional and courteous. I will definitely use Pro-tech again. This is the first time I have rated a company, but I don't hesitate at all to recommend Pro-Tech.

I contacted this contractor by recommendation of a friend. He promptly came to my residence and assessed the unit and gave me an estimate within an hour. We scheduled the repair for the following day. The repair was done by that afternoon. We have met our new contractor of choice. Highly recommended.
