Mr. Mays was recommended by an acquaintance and I have never regretted calling him; Lane Mays is the only plumber I will use. I live in an old pier and beam house and twice he's repaired the pipes that burst in the winter. When it happened this year, I couldn't get the water turned off so I called Mr. Mays; he had someone at my house within 30 minutes (which was impressive considering how many people were affected this winter). He has always been prompt and courteous; he provides first rate service at a reasonable rate.

It went fine. My hot water heater had developed a leak. They have also replaced a toilet and unstopped a sink for me. Those costs were especially reasonable. They are very prompt and professional. I have used many different plumbers, and this is the best I have found in Shreveport. They are also very easy to contact and fast to respond.

Arrived on time, friendly, informative as to cause, what he would be doing to fix the problem and things to avoid. He was a talker as I was working from home that day, however, the information made up for the work interruption.

From now on, Lane Mays is the only plumber that I will use. I have an older pier and beam house with exposed pipes. And due to two weeks of below freezing temperatures, my pipes froze in February. Once the pipes broke, I called Mr. Mays and he offered to come within the hour. I wasn't able to schedule that day, but the employees Mr. Mays sent when requested were professional, courteous and - above all - punctual. They performed the work quickly and correctly; they even helped me move a heavy bakers rack in order to get to the water heater and light the pilot for me (I am completely inept at all home issues). When I was presented with the bill, I almost collapsed from sticker shock - not because the bill was too high, but because the bill was much less than I had anticipated. After using numerous different plumbers over the years, I had been accustomed to being overcharged and paying the equivalent of a mortgage payment for an hour or two of work.
